Step 1 Lead-in(1a)
The teacher plays shrt vide clips (such as bees dancing t cmmunicate the lcatin f nectar,dlphins using sund waves t cmmunicate),and asks questins abut hw humans cmmunicate.

Shw students pictures and let them match the phrases with the pictures.

Step 2 Listening & Speaking(1b~1d)

1.Ask students t listen t the cnversatins and cmplete the table.
T:Smene is talking abut a rehearsal. What is their relatinship? Hw d they cmmunicate with each ther? Listen and find them ut.
2.Ask students t share their answers and the teacher helps t crrect prnunciatin if necessary.

1.Ask students t listen again,and answer the questins.

2.Ask students t share their answers and the teacher helps t crrect their mistakes if necessary.
3.The teacher asks students t wrk in grups t circle “if” sentences in the scripts and find ut the usage f if-clauses.

1.Set up different scene areas in the classrm (such as the “Airprt Greeting Area”,the “Restaurant Dining Area”,and the “Scenic Spt Tur Area”),and prepare crrespnding prps:maps,menus,scenic spt tickets,etc. Explain the task t the students,requiring them t use at least three “if” cnditinal sentences in the simulated scenari dialgue.
2.Ask students t wrk in pairs sitting at the same desk,with ne acting as the “inviter” and the ther as the “freign friend being invited”.Prvide students with examples f cmmn scenaris and “if” cnditinal sentences fr reference.
T:The “freign friend” can raise varius hypthetical questins,such as “If I get lst,what shuld I d?” and “If I dn't like spicy fd,can I find ther dishes?”.The “inviter” shuld warmly intrduce China t the “freign friend” and use “if” cnditinal sentences t ffer suggestins r slutins. Fr example,if yu are hungry,we can g t a lcal restaurant. If yu want t learn abut Chinese histry,we will visit the Frbidden City.
3.Ask students t enter different scene areas and start the rle-playing dialgue.
4.Invite 2 r 3 grups t present in frnt f the class and let the students cnduct peer evaluatins frm aspects:the fluency f the dialgue,the accuracy and richness f the use f “if” cnditinal sentences,and the vividness f the situatinal perfrmance. Put frward strengths and imprvement suggestins. Then,the teacher explains and crrects fr cmmnly existing prblems.
(The teacher walks arund the classrm,bserving the students' dialgue. The teacher prmptly crrects grammatical errrs,encurages students t use rich vcabulary and diverse structures f “if” cnditinal sentences,and prvides apprpriate guidance.)

1.Ask students t listen t the recrding and repeat after the recrding.
2.Ask students t add ne mre wrd accrding t the prnunciatin in each grup.
3.Distribute Bing cards t students. When the teacher says a wrd r its prnunciatin,students mark the crrespnding wrd/prnunciatin n their cards. The first student t frm a hrizntal,vertical,r diagnal line f marks shuts “Bing” and wins the game.

1.Ask students t listen t the recrding and repeat after it. Students pay attentin t the linking,stress,intnatin and pauses in the sentences.
2.Ask students t read in pairs and chse tw r three pairs t share in class.
3.Make “magic micrphnes” in advance using cardbard bxes. Ask students t take turns t read sentences with exaggerated intnatin(imitating news anchrs r cartn characters) hlding the micrphnes.
