      1.Students are able t master the basic English vcabulary related t msses,blue whales,redwd trees and cheetahs,including their names,physical characteristics,living habits and ther relevant vcabulary.
      2.Students are able t use crrect English sentence patterns and grammatical structures t intrduce these rganisms,and t accurately use sme prfessinal r relatively unfamiliar vcabulary t precisely describe the unique features f these rganisms.
      3.Students are able t master the basic structures and usages f superlatives prficiently,including the changing rules f superlative frms f adjectives and adverbs.
      4.Students are able t master the cmmn prnunciatin rules f the vwel letters “a,i”,semi-vwel letter “y” and their cmbinatins “ai,ay,igh,y,i”,the prnunciatin f cnsnant cmbinatins “bl,cl,gl,br,cr,gr”.Thrugh practical exercises with wrds and sentences,students are able t prnunce accurately and experience the influence f stressed syllables n the meaning f wrds and sentences.
      难点:
      1.Students can accurately understand and use the cllcatin f the definite article “the” with the superlative degree.Sme students may mit the wrd “the”,r wrngly use the superlative degree in places where it is nt necessary.
      2.Students are able t learn t mdify the superlative degree with rich language t make the descriptins mre vivid.

      Step 1 Lead-in(1a)
      The teacher shws sme f pictures f different animals and asks students t describe the animals in the phts.

      S1:It is a cheetah.

      S2:It is beautiful.

      1.Ask students t listen t the cnversatins and number the plants and animals in 1a in the rder they hear them.

      2.Ask students t share their answers and help t crrect prnunciatin if necessary.

      1.Ask students t listen again,match the wrds with the plants and animals in 1a.

      3.The teacher asks students t wrk in grups t translate the meaning f the wrds and tell what -(i)est means in these wrds.

      1.Ask students t listen t the recrding and repeat after the recrding.
      2.Ask students t add ne mre wrd accrding t the prnunciatin in each grup.

      1.Ask students t listen t the recrding and repeat after the recrding.Students ntice the differences in stress in these sentences.
      2.Ask students t imitate the three sentences and thers guess the meaning f the sentences ne by ne.
      3.The teacher gives students multiple scenaris (shpping,rdering fd at a restaurant,and arguing amng friends).Students are divided int grups and chse a scenari and its crrespnding script and prepare crrespnding dialgue scripts.Accrding t the requirements f the scenari,they change the stress f the sentences t express different meanings and emtins and perfrm the dialgues.
      4.Other grups analyze hw the use f stress in the perfrmance affects the meaning f the dialgue.
      5.The teacher prvides cmments and summarizes the key pints.
