教学内容
“Seeing the True Nrth via Rail: Trnt and Mntreal” 是一篇游记，介绍了两姐妹在横跨加拿大的火车旅行中的一段经历。文章按照旅行的时间顺序，和自西向东北的方位顺序，依次描写了沿途经过的两个主要城市，Trnt 多伦多和Mntreal蒙特利尔。语篇通过两个姐妹的所见所闻所思所感，以及当地人 Lin Fei 和 Jean-Philippe的讲述，呈现了加拿大独特的自然、人文景观与文化等旅游资源。语篇使用一些典型的游记语言特点，如具体的形容词、生动的动词、丰富的非谓语结构和拟人等修辞手法来描绘景观之美，从而培养学生的审美能力，欣赏美的力量。游记除了游玩，也是文化的习得，这有利于学生进行文化对比，联系祖国多样丰富的相关旅游资源，培养跨文化交流并树立文化自信，通过游记写作，宣传中国特色的旅游资源与传承文化。

Activity 1: Watching a travel vlg
Students watch a travel vlg abut the first part f Lidaiyu and Liuqian’s train trip acrss Canada.
【设计意图】
通过一段旅游视频博客，激活学生已有的背景知识，引起学生的感知与注意。同时视频里学生的配音、加拿大丰富又具特色的旅游资源、游记的优美的语言等一些列多模态资源调动起学生的兴趣，激发学生探索主题的欲望。

语言能力：在旅游的情境里，以看的方式理解和表达意义的能力。
Activity 2: Reviewing and Predicting
Students review the cusins’ travel rute and predict the fllwing rute.

Students predict the cntent f the secnd travel jurnal accrding t the title and the three illustratins.

通过问题链，将看似零散的游记内容建构TREE 模型，即Transprt, Rute, Experiences, Emtins 四要素, 其中Experiences要素可以围绕4S方面来写，即Sights, Sunds, Smells, Smene。通过知识结构化，帮助学生构建游记内容的整体结构认识，为后续游记写作做好铺垫。

Activity 6: Writing a travel jurnal
Students write a travel jurnal abut Jean’s ne-day trip in Shanghai.
