【Lead-in】
T shw pictures in Li Daiyu’s WeChat Mments and guide Ss t recall what Li Daiyu and her cusin saw, their activities and their feelings in the previus reading and thinking lessn.
(Justificatin: Present pictures in the frm f WeChat Mments, and intrduce tpics by asking questins t stimulate students' learning thinking and fully mbilize students' enthusiasm.)
Predict.
Ss predict the cntent f this passage
Ss tell where the passage pssibly is taken frm.
(Justificatin:T help Ss get a general idea f the reading text frm the title and picture, while let them knw the type f the passage t facilitate their fllwing reading and writing activities.)
【Reading】
(1) Skimming: Ss find ut Li Daiyu’s rute and summarize the structure f the article and the general idea f each part.
(2) Scanning:
Ss read the text and cmplete tw tables abut Li Daiyu’s jurney t Trnt and Mntreal.
Ss answer the questin abut para10 t knw details abut part3.
(Justificatin: T help Ss get a clearer picture f the whle jurney by finishing the tables and answer related questins frm three aspects——what they saw, what they did and hw they felt t prepare Ss fr later writing task.)
【Pre-writing】
Summarize the structure f a travel jurnal.
Ss find ut sme excellent sentences that shw what they saw, their activities and feelings.
Ss try t imitate the sentence with descriptive language accrding t the picture.
(Justificatin: T activate Ss’ awareness f writing cncerning structure and cntent step by step. Thrugh writing practice activities, students can gradually clarify the writing task, understand the writing requirements, accumulate writing materials, practice the cntent learned in this class, and cmplete the writing task.)
【While-writing】
Ss email Li Daiyu back and share their trip with her!
【Pst-writing】
Ss use the checklist t help assess their draft, and try t revise yur draft accrding t it.
