standard作名词，意为“标准；水平”。the standard f意为“……的标准”；meet/reach a standard意为“达到标准”。

注意在同一个句子中，althugh / thugh不能与 but 同时出现。

until 在此处作连词，意为“直到……为止”，引导时间状语从句，常见用法如下：
用于肯定句，句子或主句的谓语动词必须是延续性动词，表示句子或主句的动作一直延续到until所表示的时间为止
用于否定句，构成结构，意为“直到……才”，句子或主句的谓语动词通常是非延续性动词，表示句子或主句的动作直到until所表示的时间才发生
