The Trojan Prince, Paris, visited Sparta. The Spartan King, Menelaus, warmly received him. At the banquet, the beautiful Spartan Queen, Helen, danced passionately. Helen and Prince Paris fell in love at first sight. Prince Paris insisted on taking Helen back to Troy. So the two fled Sparta overnight and returned to Troy by ship. King Menelaus was furious when he learned of their elopement. He swore to launch an army to conquer Troy and retrieve Helen. The Spartan king gathered thousands of warships to attack Troy. War broke out, and the Spartan army laid siege to Troy. The battle was extremely fierce, and the Spartans launched powerful attacks. However, they failed to break through Troy's defenses and suffered heavy casualties. So, the Spartans devised a clever plan. They built a huge wooden horse and hid elite soldiers inside. The Trojans, believing the horse was a gift from the gods, happily brought it into their city. That night, the heavily armed soldiers emerged from the wooden horse. They opened the city gates to welcome the Spartan army. The Spartan army surged into Troy and engaged in fierce battles with the Trojan army. In the end, the Spartans defeated the Trojans and sacked the city of Troy.一、根据首字母或中文提示完成单词The Greeks used a huge wooden h______ to trick the Trojans. The Trojan War is an a______ story from ancient times. The soldiers h______ inside the wooden horse to enter the city. The Trojans celebrated their v______ when they saw the Greeks sail away.Homer is a famous writer who wrote about the Trojan W______.The remains of Troy are l________ in present-day Turkey. The Greeks wanted to c________ the city of Troy with a clever trick.Summaryorsencientidictoryarocatedapture二、汉译英特洛伊战争 ___________________________木马计 ___________________________古希腊 ___________________________藏在…… 里面 ___________________________庆祝胜利 ___________________________攻占城市 ___________________________古代故事 ___________________________位于(某地) ___________________________Summarythe Trojan Warthe Trojan Horse trickancient Greecehide inside...celebrate the victorycapture the cityancient storybe located in (somewhere)Summary三、汉译英 希腊士兵藏在巨大的木马里,这样他们就能进入特洛伊城。________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________特洛伊人以为希腊人已经离开,所以把木马拖进了他们的城市。 ________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________他低头看着空无一人的希腊军营,以及军营之外空无一人的大海。________________________________________________________________ 几秒钟后,上尉站在特洛伊城的高墙上。。________________________________________________________________Greek soldiers hid inside the huge wooden horse so that they could enter the city of Troy. The Trojans thought the Greeks had left, so they pulled the wooden horse into their city.He looked down at the empty Greek camp and, beyond it, at the empty sea.Seconds later, the captain stood on the high wall of the city of Troy.Summary四、语音:判断语调(用 “↘” 标注降调,“↗” 标注升调)_________ Did the Trojans win the war at first?_________ Is the wooden horse a trick by the Greeks?_________ How did the Greeks capture Troy?_________ Listen carefully to the story. _________ Do you know who wrote about the Trojan War? _________ When did the Trojan War happen? _________ Please retell the story in your own words. _________ Were there many soldiers in the wooden horse? ↗↗↘↘↗↘↗↘AssessmentHomework
