In April, 2013, I visited Yangzhu.
Ge Garden is very beautiful and peaceful. The ticket has a map n the back f it that I didn’t nticed until I had already left. But t be hnest, I dn’t think that map is very useful because it isn’t very clear and detailed. In my pinin, it’s better t imprve it. Cmpared with Ge Garden, the map n the back f the ticket fr He Garden is much clearer, mre detailed and mre useful. Hwever, in the rm that has the picture f the family members, there is nly Chinese, n English, s my advice is t add English in interesting places. I gt lst in the Slender West Lake. I spent abut 30 minutes just trying t get ut f ne area. I think they need mre signs psted alng the trails. I like the Slender West Lake best, as she is s pretty! The ladies that were sweeping were very sweet. They always smiled at me and said hell, s it was nice.
Taking a taxi is the mst efficient(有效率的) and quickest way t get arund Yangzhu. I didn’t have a prblem getting t the places which I’d like t g t while using a taxi. The driver was very friendly. The fare isn’t t high, either. But I didn’t enjy taking the bus. The bus ride t the Mastixia Bay (茱萸湾公园) tk lng althugh I nly had t pay ne yuan. It was als hard finding where Bus 32 was. I tried asking sme peple in English but they culdn’t understand me, s I had t ask in simple Chinese that I nly knw buy that still didn’t wrk. I spent abut ne hur walking arund the city t lk fr Bus 32. The tricycle(三轮车) was nice, but it was a little t expensive fr a small distance. Maybe I was ripped ff by the guy wh rde fr me, but it was an enjyable ride. I felt like I was part f the garden city mre.
Over all I am satisfied with Yangzhu and will recmmend it t thers.
