when后面可接一般过去时（短暂动作），也可接过去进行时（延续）含义：就在这时、当…时候侧重：一个动作突然发生
When VS While
while后面只能接过去进行时（延续动作）含义：在……期间、一边……一边侧重：两个动作同时进行
后面是短暂动词（cme/arrive/stp/see）→ 只能用 when后面是延续动词（read/wait/study/wrk）→ when / while 都可以
口诀when 接瞬间动作，while 接延续动作；when 可长可短，while 只接长动作。
构成肯定：was / were + 现在分词(ding)单数(I/he/she/it) → was ding复数(we/yu/they) → were ding否定：was/were + nt + ding一般疑问：Was/Were + 主语 + ding…?
去某一时刻正在做某事侧重过去具体时间点正在进行I was ding my hmewrk at 8 last night.昨晚八点我正在写作业。某段时间内一直在做They were watching TV all evening yesterday.
3. 一个长动作进行时，突然发生短动作（when）He was walking in the street when it began t rain.他正走在街上，突然下起雨。 4. 两个过去动作同时进行（while）While I was reading, my mm was cking.我看书的时候，妈妈在做饭。

四、动词变化规则（ding）
直接+ing：wrk→wrking
不发音e结尾去e+ing：write→writing
重读闭音节双写尾字母+ing：sit→sitting,
ie结尾变y+ing：lie→lying
过去进行时：强调当时正在做，过程
一般过去时：强调做完了，整件事
