      3. listen t three interviews abut free-time activities and identify the key infrmatin.
      4. talk abut their free-time activities.

      Since it's the first class f the new term,the teacher culd start by asking students hw they spent
      their winter hlidays.
      Hw was yur winter hliday?
      What was yur mst enjyable winter activity? Why?
      Did anyne take up a new hbby?
      Picture Analysis
      1. Ask students t lk at the theme picture and answer the questins n Page 1.
      2. Invite sme students t share their answers.
      Teaching Tip:If students have truble answering questin 3,the teacher can guide them with sme hints: Being utside in fresh air helps us relax./Watching the kite mve keeps yur mind calm./It's nt a cmpetitin,s yu can enjy it freely./It reminds us f happy childhd memries.

      1. Shw the pictures in la and ask: What activities are these students ding? Encurage
      students t describe the activities using their wn wrds.
      2. Teach the prnunciatin and meaning f the wrds skiing , prgramming and calligraphy.
      Use gestures r give examples t reinfrce the understanding.

      3. Ask students t match the activities with the pictures. If the students are at a higher level,the
      teacher can extend the task by asking:Which activity lks the mst fun?Why?

      1. Let students read the exercises carefully and answer the questins:
      Wh are the interviewees?
      ◆ What key infrmatin shuld we listen fr?(E.g. What the interviewees say abut
      their activities. )
      2. Guide students t circle the time markers“after schl”and“at the weekend". Remind
      them nt t cnfuse these tw times while listening.
      3. Have students listen t the interviews and fill in the blanks. Then,let them check the answers
      in pairs.
      Language Tip:表达喜欢做某事,既可以用“lve/like ding sth”也可以用“lve/like t
      d sth”。“lve/like ding sth”侧重表示长期、持续喜欢做某事,“lve/like t d sth”
      侧重表示短期或偶尔喜欢做某事。但是,在多数情况下二者的用法非常相似,并没有明
      显差别。

      2. Have students listen again and retell the interviews accrding t the table r mind map

      2. Ask students t read the sentence patterns in ld and think abut what else they can ask
      abut the free-time activities.
      3. Have students talk abut their free-time activities in pairs.
      4. Select several grups t rle-play their cnversatins and give feedback.

      Ask students t summarize the hliday activities they learned in this lessn.
      Hmewrk
      Finish the related exercises in the bks prduced by Yuyi.
      Blackbard Design
      Write the language pints and useful expressins n the blackbard.
      This lessn achieved its bjectives effectively.Students actively participated in discussing their
      winter hlidays and identifying varius hbbies, and the listening tasks with time markers helped them fcus n key details. The retelling activity using mind maps was effective, but a few students needed extra supprt in rganising their language. Next time, I'll include mre visual aids fr the retelling task.
