教学目标
By the end f the class, students will be able t:
1. knw the structure, usage and guide wrds f past perfect tense.
了解过去完成时态的结构、用法和引导词。
2. analyze the rder f the events by using time line.
能用时间线梳理事件发生的先后顺序。
3. express the past events by using the adverbial clause f time guided by when, befre, as and by the time crrectly.
能正确使用由when, befre, as, by the time引导的时间状语从句来表达过去发生的事情。

教学重点:
1. Students are able t knw the differences between the past perfect tense and the simple past tense.
2. Students are able t master the usage f the past perfect tense.

1. Students are able t analyze the rder f the events by using time line.
2. Students are able t share their wn unexpected events with thers.

Step 1 Lead-in
The teacher asks Ss t tell Mary’s bad mrning and what happened t Mary in the pictures.
引导学生用过去完成时回答。并且提问学生:在以上的时间状语从句中,主句和从句的动作是先后发生还是同时发生呢?

Step 2 Grammar Fcus
Read alud the sentences in the grammar frame. Find ut the sentences in simple past tense and the past perfect tense.
引导学生运用时间线判断主句和从句的动作是先后发生还是同时发生?
The teacher gets the students t sum up and learn the past perfect tenses. Remind the students f the verbs and the rder f the tw actins.
Step 3 Practice
Wrk n 4a Ask students t make sentences using by the time r befre.
Students make full sentences n their wn, the teacher reminds them f the tenses. Get students t check their answers in pairs.
Wrk n 4b Ask students t fill in the blanks with the crrect frms f the wrds in the bx.
First, ask students t write the past participle frm fr each wrd and phrase in the bx f 4b. Then, ask them t fill in the blanks using the crrect wrds r phrases.

① Shw the half sentences and ask different students t say their sentences. Make as many sentences as they can.
② Get the students t write tw true sentences and ne imaginary sentences. Ask sme students t read ut their sentences. Let thers t guess which sentence is imaginary. Tell the reasns.

Must d: Review Grammar Fcus and try t make sentences with befre, by the time .
Chse t d: Write an unfrgettable experience by using simple past tense(一般过去时) and past perfect tense(过去完成时).
