      Sage Birden, an animal rescuer, said helping animals in need is all abut “being kind”. Her animal prtectin experience in Shanghai began in 2014 after she tk care f a friend’s cat. When the cat left, a cat-shaped hle was left in her heart.
      As a “prud” member f Shanghai’s animal prtectin grup, Birden remembers ne special experience. Vlunteers wrked tgether t save a dying kitten in Hangzhu.
      “It was midnight, and the man wh fund the kitten didn’t knw what t d. N hspital was pen, and there was n vet (兽医) arund. There was n way t get the kitten t a safe place, n milk fr it. There was nthing.” Birden said.
