      Students can master the fllwing new wrds and phrases: where, table, bed, bkcase, sfa, chair, n, under, cme n, desk, think, rm, their, hat, head.
      Students are able t use the sentence patterns “Where' It's in/n/under... ”, “Where' They're in/n/under... ”, “Is the... Yes, it is. / N, it isn't.” and “Are the... Yes, they are. / N, they aren't.” t ask abut and state the lcatins f things.
      2. Ability Aims
      Develp students' listening skills t catch specific infrmatin abut the psitins f bjects, such as what the bject is and where it is.
      Imprve students' speaking skills by enabling them t have cnversatins abut the lcatins f things in real - life situatins.
      Train students' ability t describe the layut f a rm and the psitins f items in it.
      3. Emtinal Aims
      Cultivate students' awareness f keeping their living and learning envirnments tidy and rganized.
      Encurage students t cmmunicate actively in English, and enhance their cnfidence in using the language.
      II. Teaching Key Pints and Difficult Pints
      1. Teaching Key Pints
      Master the new vcabulary related t furniture and cmmn bjects in a rm.
      Grasp the usage f the sentence patterns fr asking abut and stating the lcatins f things, especially the crrect use f the singular and plural frms.
      Understand and use the prepsitins f place: in, n, under crrectly.
      2. Teaching Difficult Pints
      Differentiate the usage f the prepsitins “in”, “n” and “under” in different cntexts, and use them accurately t describe the psitins f bjects.
      Use the target language fluently and spntaneusly in real - life scenaris t talk abut the lcatins f varius bjects.
      III. Teaching Methds
      Cmmunicative Teaching Methd: Create real - life cmmunicatin situatins, like lking fr things in a classrm r a bedrm, t encurage students t use English t express themselves. Fr example, set up a scenari where students have t find their lst schl things in the classrm and ask thers fr help using the target language.
      Task - based Teaching Methd: Design tasks such as making a rm layut map and rle - playing a cnversatin between rmmates abut finding lst items. Students need t cmplete these tasks thrugh cperatin and practice, which helps them internalize the language knwledge.
      Audi - visual Teaching Methd: Utilize multimedia resurces, including pictures f rms with different layuts, relevant audi materials fr listening, and shrt vide clips shwing peple talking abut the lcatins f things. These resurces can make the teaching mre vivid and engaging, and help students better understand the language in cntext.
      IV. Teaching Aids
      Multimedia curseware with pictures f rms, audi materials fr listening, and sme shrt vide clips.
      Real bjects r pictures f furniture and cmmn bjects, such as a small mdel f a table, a picture f a bed, etc.

      V. Teaching Prcedures
      Step 1: Warming - up (5 minutes)
      Greet the students as usual: “Gd mrning/afternn, class! Hw are yu tday?”
      Shw sme pictures f messy and tidy rms n the PPT. Ask students: “What can yu see in the pictures? Which rm d yu like better? Why?”引导学生讨论房间整洁的重要性,自然引出本节课关于描述物品位置的话题.
      Step 2: Revisin (5 minutes)
      Review sme wrds f schl things learned befre by playing a wrd - recall game. The teacher says a categry, like “schl supplies”, and students quickly call ut the English wrds, such as “pen”, “pencil”, “bk” and s n.
      Review the sentence patterns fr asking abut wnership. Pint t sme bjects in the classrm and ask students questins like “Is this yur eraser? Are these yur bks?”引导学生用 “Yes, it is./Yes, they are.” r “N, it isn't./N, they aren't.”来回答。
      Step 3: Presentatin (10 minutes)
      New Wrds Teaching
      Shw pictures f new furniture and bjects ne by ne n the PPT: table, bed, bkcase, sfa, chair, desk, hat, head. Read the wrds alud, stressing the crrect prnunciatin, and let students repeat. Fr example, when teaching “bkcase”, pint t the picture f a bkcase and say, “This is a bkcase. We can put bks in it. B - O - O - K - C - A - S - E, bkcase.”
      D sme wrd - learning activities. Fr instance, play a wrd - matching game. Write the new wrds n ne set f cards and draw the crrespnding bjects n anther set, and ask students t match them in pairs.
      Sentence Pattern Teaching
      Use the classrm envirnment and sme small prps. Hide a small ty under a desk. Then ask, “Where is the ty?” Guide students t answer, “It's under the desk.” D the same with ther bjects and change the prepsitins f place (in, n, under).
      Write the sentence patterns “Where' It's in/n/under... ”, “Where' They're in/n/under... ” n the blackbard and explain the usage. Fr the singular frm “Where'”, we use “It's...” t answer, and fr the plural frm “Where'”, we use “They're...” t answer. D sme substitutin drills. Pint t different bjects and ask different students “Where's/Where'”让学生熟练掌握这个句型的运用。
      Step 4: Pre - listening (5 minutes)
      Wrk n 1a. Let students lk at the pictures in 1a n page 21 f the textbk. Ask them t match the wrds with the things in the pictures.
      Check the answers tgether. Then, ask students t discuss in pairs: “If yu were ging t describe this rm, what wuld yu say first? Hw wuld yu talk abut the psitins f these things?”
      Step 5: While - listening (10 minutes)
      1b Listening
      Tell students they will listen t a cnversatin between a by and a girl. Befre listening, let them lk at the pictures in 1b and predict what items they will hear and where they might be.
      Play the recrding fr the first time. Students listen and number the things in the picture [1 - 4].
      Play the recrding again. This time, students listen carefully and pay attentin t the prnunciatin and intnatin, especially the expressins f lcatins. Check the answers tgether.
      2a & 2b Listening
      Let students lk at the wrds in 2a. Explain that they will listen t a cnversatin and number the things they hear.
      Play the recrding fr the first time. Students listen and number.
      Play the recrding again fr 2b. Students listen and find the things frm 2a and number them in the picture [1 - 6].
      Check the answers and explain sme difficult pints in the cnversatin if necessary.
      Step 6: Pst - listening (10 minutes)
      Pair Wrk
      Ask students t wrk in pairs. One student asks abut the lcatin f an bject in the picture f 2b, and the ther answers. They use the cnversatins in 1b, 2a, and 2b as examples t create a new cnversatin. Walk arund the classrm t ffer help and guidance.
      After a few minutes, ask several pairs t cme t the frnt f the class and act ut their cnversatins.
      Grup Wrk
      Divide the students int grups f fur. Each grup draws a simple layut f a rm n a large piece f paper and marks sme bjects in it. Then, they create a cnversatin abut lking fr things in the rm, using the target language.
      Select ne r tw grups t share their rm - layut drawings and perfrm their cnversatins fr the whle class. After the perfrmance, let ther students give cmments and ask questins.
      Step 7: Rle - playing (10 minutes)
      Present the dialgue in 2d. Let students read it in pairs and understand the meaning. Explain sme new expressins, such as “cme n” and “I think”.
      Ask students t rle - play the cnversatin. They can change the names and the bjects accrding t their wn ideas. Sme students can act as Tm and his mther, and sme can create their wn rles.
      After the rle - playing, ask sme pairs t shw their perfrmances t the class. Encurage ther students t listen carefully and give feedback.
      Step 8: Summary (5 minutes)
      Summarize the new wrds and sentence patterns learned in this class with the students. Write the key pints n the blackbard again, including the new wrds related t furniture and bjects in a rm, the sentence patterns fr asking abut and stating the lcatins f things, and the prepsitins f place used.
      Ask students t share what they have learned and what they think is the mst difficult part in this class.
      Step 9: Hmewrk (布置作业环节)
      Ask students t write a shrt passage t describe their wn rms. They need t mentin at least five bjects and their psitins, using the sentence patterns “Where' It's in/n/under... ” and “Where' They're in/n/under... ”.
      Encurage students t pay attentin t the psitins f things in their daily life and try t describe them in English.
