It was fantastic t g t the Science Museum t see an exhibitin abut driverless vehicles (交通工具). Befre my visit t the museum, I didn’t knw much abut vehicles that drive themselves using cmputer cntrls.
Driverless cars might seem like smething frm 21 , but they’ve been arund lnger than we think. I learned that the first f them appeared years ag. It was a car called the Citren DS19, which appeared back in 1960. It drve itself by 22 a netwrk f cables (电缆) buried undergrund. Driverless vehicles have develped a lt since then. Newer nes are used fr different purpses, like helping farmers by picking crps, r helping scientists by explring under the ice.
The exhibitin was rganized int three different areas. Each ne 23 a different subject. The first was called “Land.” I was able t lk at hw driverless vehicles were already being used n land, and pssible develpments that wuld happen in the future.
The issue f 24 is a big ne. Hw can a driverless car make the right chices that a human makes in an emergency situatin? Scientists are wrking n ways t slve this prblem. I understd mre abut hw difficult it was when I was playing with the interactive displays (交互式显示屏). Ding this let me see the wrld thrugh the “eyes” f a driverless car. It’s very 25 t prgram a cmputer t make the decisins a human driver usually makes.
In the zne called “Water,” driverless vehicles are being used t make maps f the sea flr and t understand hw climate change is affecting the ceans. And in the final area, “ 26 ,” I learned abut the flying drnes (无人机) that are being develped t deliver prducts, but nt just fr shppers. They’re als imprtant fr things like medical emergencies.
The whle exhibitin was incredibly interesting and made fr a great day ut

Last summer, my grandma tk ur large family n a vacatin t Tanzania fr a few weeks. While we did spend a large amunt f time bserving wildlife in the Serengeti Natinal Park, the mst memrable part f the trip fr me was 37 abut the lcal culture. I was mved by hw 38 and hspitable (好客的) everybdy there was.
Whenever we rde smewhere in the “safari trucks”, the lcal children wuld, at the sight f the trucks, rush t the side f the rad t 39 and shut “hell”. I culd tell by their huge smiles that they were really 40 at the sight f us, nt just ding what they’d been tld t d in frnt f turists. We were happy t 41 a wave r a high five, t. At ne pint when ur guide was shwing us arund a lcal village, a wman came ver and started talking t us in the lcal language, which ur guide translated fr us. The wman wanted t shw us the baby rabbits that she was raising. She welcmed us int her huse. I was very 42 by this. I wuld never think f inviting a 43 ff the street int my huse back in the United States.
After we saw the super-cute newbrn rabbits, we cntinued thrugh the 44 . At the next huse, there was a family cking fish ver a fire fr dinner. Our guide asked if he culd buy sme. While he ate his fish, the family invited us int their yard. Everybdy’s attitude was s 45 frm that f peple back hme. Things that seemed s unusual t me, like letting strangers int ne’s huse, are cmpletely nrmal t these peple.
When the trip ended and we gt back t the United States, I almst felt a 46 cnnectin t the peple I met in Tanzania than t the peple at hme. The time that I spent in Tanzania was the time in my life when I felt the mst unfrgettable.

Sme peple think the greatest inventin in the wrld is electricity, while thers believe cmputers are the mst 57 in mdern sciety. But I think the inventin f bks is the greatest.

In the lng histry f humans, bks have played an imprtant part in spreading knwledge, and even tday, the situatin is 60 the same. Each year, millins f bks are published (出版) in the wrld. Knwledge 61 ur lives. Peple can make a difference by reading bks. If a knwledgeable persn wants t express sme new ideas, he r she will prbably chse t write a bk.
