Nwadays, things are different. We actually have pie at Thanksgiving—my mum regularly makes pie (the fear f fruit-filled sweets cntinues, but desserts tpped with fruits r nuts have been given the kay). (2024江苏南通适应性考试)On March 6, the 2024 Duyin E-cmmerce Female Cnsumer Trend Data Reprt revealed that in 2023 the rder vlume f hrse-faced skirts—a type f hanfu, the traditinal style f clthing wrn by the Han peple—amng female users n Duyin skyrcketed by 841 per cent cmpared t the previus year.
“I've nticed that there are s many peple wearing hrse-faced skirts n the streets nw, frm yung wmen t children; it's unbelievable,” said Wang Zicheng, a 23-year-ld hanfu enthusiast.
He recalled that when he wre hanfu fr the first time in 2018 at his cming-f-age ceremny, it was still a minrity interest. Nw, he is cnfident wearing it everywhere, even utside f China.
As hanfu gains ppularity, traditinal attire(服装) and mdern fashin are merging(融合), influencing nt nly clthing styles but als cultural perceptins and peple's understanding.
Sme hanfu enthusiasts argue that each design and structural frm f hanfu carries distinct histrical and cultural significance, insisting that these details shuld be adhered t(遵循) strictly. Hwever, ther cnsumers priritize the aesthetics(美学) and cmfrt f the clthing.
Zhu Shuang, 37, specializes in character styling fr film and televisin. She pinted ut that fr thse unfamiliar with traditinal clthing culture, it's understandable fr them t desire a mixture f classical elegance with mdern fashin.
This cmbinatin is referred t as the ne-Chinese style. “Ne-Chinese style clthing design desn't merely layer traditinal elements, but cmbines mdernity and traditin naturally,” explained Zhu. “It aims t shwcase traditinal charm that resnates with(与……产生共鸣) the aesthetic preferences f tday's Chinese.”
Despite the grwing hanfu trend in China, there remains a lack f understanding amng peple abrad. Accrding t Wang, he travelled t a dzen cuntries while wearing hanfu.
“They guessed abut the rigin f my clthes, but nne crrectly identified that it's frm China,” Wang said. He believed this is because peple in ther cuntries have few chances t see authentic hanfu clthes and accessries.
