Yours is on the desk. 这本书是我的。你的在桌子上。(2)a...of mine 是一种固定表达,意为“我的一个……”。例句:I found an old photo of mine under the bed. 我在床底下发现了一张我的旧照片。(3)mine 还可以作动词,意为“采矿”,此时其名词形式是miner,意为“矿工”。 例句:People still mine for coal in this area. 人们还在这个地区开采煤矿。 His father was a miner ten years ago. 他父亲十年前是一名矿工。2. “These remind me of my holidays there,” Bill added.“这些让我想起了我在那里度过的假期,”比尔补充道。 (1)remind v. 使想起remind... of 意为“使……想起……”,其中remind 是及物动词,后面一般接表示人的名词或代词宾格,of 后面接表示物的名词起补充说明作用。例句:This song reminds me of my high school days. 这首歌让我想起了我的高中时光。(2)remind 作动词,还可意为“提醒”。常用搭配:remind sb. to do sth. 提醒某人做某事remind sb. about sth. 提醒某人关于某事remind sb. + that 从句 提醒某人……(1)add v. 意为“补充说”,通常用于引出直接或间接引语。例句:“You can come here a little earlier,” Tom added. “你可以更早一点来这儿,”汤姆补充说道。(2)add 作动词,还可意为“加;增加”,常见搭配: a. add sth. to sth. 把某物添加到某物中例句:He added some honey to his tea. 他在茶中加入了一些蜂蜜。 b. add up 把……加起来例句:Please add up the numbers and give me the total. 请把这些数字加起来并告诉我总数。 c. add up to + 数字 总共达到……;加起来达到……例句:The students in the two schools add up to 2,500. 这两所学校的学生加起来有2500 人。 3. Tim explained why. 蒂姆解释了原因explain v. 意为“解释;说明”。explain 常见搭配:(1)explain sth. (to sb.)(向某人)解释某事例句:He explained all the problems to us. 他向我们解释了所有的问题。(2)explain +“疑问词+ 动词不定式” 解释……例句: Tom explained to his boss why he was late. 汤姆向他的老板解释了他为什么迟到。4. When you get deep into it, you will find it more interesting.当你深入进去 后,你会发现它更有趣。(1)deep 形容词:深的;深刻的;深奥的;浓厚的 副词:深深地;深入地 The river is 5 meters deep. 这条河5米深。(2)deep in sth.深陷于 / 专注于 be deep in a book (3)get deep into sth.:表示对某事物深入研究、探讨例句:If you get deep into the history of ancient China, you’ll be amazed by it. 如果你深入研究中国古代史,你会为之惊叹。 ______ you have a map, you still might get lost in the forest.
