“I decided that I wuld speak t Sfia, my daughter, in Inari Sdmi,” Olthuis said. “And that’s hw it all started.”
“In 1986, there were nly fur children left speaking Inari Sami,” said Olthuis. “We have t thank Mrttaja and Mattus fr teaching the language t their children and starting the Inari Sámi Assciatin (协会).” This rganizatin became the grundwrk f the language recvery mvement.
In 1997, the assciatin started Finland’s first Sómi language kindergarten in Inari. This full-immersin (沉浸) kindergarten surrunded children with the language frm an early age. The first language kindergarten created abut 40 new speakers in its first decade, hwever, with nly tw teachers, develpment was difficult. In 2007, Olthuis became the first persn t defend (答辩) a dctral paper in Inari Sámi. Instead f stpping there, she develped a language educatin prgram at the Research Institute fr Languages f Finland t rebuild the lst generatin f adult speakers. The prgram brught clear results: its graduates enabled tw mre language kindergartens t pen, helping create a new base f yung speakers.

根据第一段“In 1996, language expert Olthuis had a difficult decisin t make. Shuld she speak t her newbrn daughter in Finnish r Inari Sámi, the endangered language f her native cmmunity?
根据第五段“Instead f stpping there, she develped a language educatin prgram at the Research Institute fr Languages f Finland t rebuild the lst generatin f adult speakers. 故选A项。

故选A项。

故填has emerged。
故填but。
故填in。
