      在以上例句中,动词不定式都作目的状语,表示“做某事是为了什么”。例如在第二句中,t imprve her singing skills就是目的状语,表示practises every day的目的。She studies hard t pass the exam.‌ 她努力学习以通过考试。‌‌They built a fence arund the garden t keep rabbits ut.他们在花园周围建了围栏防止兔子进入。
      在作目的状语时,不定式既可以放在句首,也可以放在句尾。Dylan trained hard t imprve his basketball skills. Dylan刻苦训练以提高自己的篮球技术。也可以说: T imprve his basketball skills, Dylan trained hard.T understand the lcal culture better, she decided t live with a hst family. 为了更好地了解当地文化,她决定寄宿在当地家庭。
