      3. Students can be familiarised with sme fd idims and appreciate the culture in the idims.
      教学内容
      教学重点:
      1.Students are able t master the usage f the key wrds and expressins in this unit such as prir t, cnsist f, at a minimum, cnsume, etc.
      2. Students are able t apply vcabulary learning tips in vcabulary learning based n the lexical chunks and cntext.

      1. Students are able t apply vcabulary learning tips in vcabulary learning based n the lexical chunks and cntext.
      2. Students learn abut sme cmmn fd idims and appreciate the culture in the idims.
      教学过程
      Step 1: Review and finish the summary f Reading and Thinking.
      Step 2: Find ut the useful chunks .After checking the answers, find ut the useful chunks in the passage. Ask students t seek by themselves and then the teacher gives the useful phrases and chunks in Reading and Thinking. At the same time, students can learn the first vcabulary learning tip: make use f the lexical chunks t learn the usage f new vcabulary.
      Step 3: Finding wrds with similar meaning. Ask six students t read the sentences in Activity 1 n page 28. Find wrds frm the reading passage which have similar meanings t the wrds in italics. Ask students t check their answers with their partners. Invite six students t share their answers with the class. Make crrectins if any.
      Step 4: Reading and matching. Ask students t learn mre abut fds arund the wrld by matching the first and secnd halves f the fllwing sentences in Activity 2 n page 28.
      Step 5: Learning fd idims.Ask students t read the sentences in the left clumn in Activity 3 and pay attentin t the fd wrds in them.
      Ask students t match the meaning n the right with the clured wrd n the left. After checking, the teacher presents the secnd vcabulary learning tip: guess the meaning f new wrds based n the cntext.
      Step 6: Ask students t have a grup discussin abut the questin: Why des each fd have such a meaning? Invite sme f them t share their thughts.
      Step 7: Vcabulary exercise. Use the given chunks t cmplete the sentences.
      Assignments:
      1. Finish the exercise based n what yu have learnt.
      2. Recite the chunks and fd idims learnt in this class.
      3. Search nline t learn mre fd idims.
