Better Cnnectivity Increases Reef Abundance
Research led by the University f Oxfrd has fund that the mvement and exchange f water between different parts f the cean — ceangraphic cnnectivity — is a key influence fr fish abundance (丰富性) acrss the Western Indian Ocean (WIO). The findings have been published in ICES Jurnal f Marine Science.

A. They stp the spread f ther fish.B. They help maintain cral reefs.
C. They reduce cean temperatures.D. They cntribute t seaweed grwth.
33. Why is prtecting reefs in the WIO particularly significant?
A. Reefs are critical t the lcal ecnmy.B. The regin lacks large-sized fisheries.
C. Fish prductin is naturally lw in this regin.D. It is beneficial t ceangraphic cnnectivity.
34. What can be learned abut medium cnnectivity levels?
A. They wrsen cral bleaching.B. They result in larger fish ppulatin.
C. They bring abut freign fish greatly.D. They imprve the nutritinal value f fish.
