Culd Tilly have saved everyne entirely n her wn? What culdn't she d by herself?
Because she is nly a child. Smetimes adults dn’t take children’s wrds seriuly. / Because the weather was gd and everything lked nrmal. / ...
N, she culdn’t. Fr example, she culdn’t frce all the peple n the beach t leave. Peple wuldn’t listen t a child and she had n pwer t d that.
What supprt did she get t turn the situatin arund?
Her father tld the secuirty guard abut the tsunami and the security guard believed the warning and used his pwer t clear the beach.
If yu were Tilly, hw wuld yu persuade yur parents t believe that a tsunami wuld cme?
“Mm! Dad! Please stp and listen t me! This is very imprtant! Our teacher taught us that if yu see thick white frth n the waves and the water is cming in but nt ging ut, it means a tsunami is cming very sn! This is exactly what's happening nw! It's nt a jke! We have t run back t the htel right nw! Please, trust me!”
