      【口诀记忆】 maybe 与may be: 合并作状语,分开作谓语。舍 maybe 仍有意,丢 may be 可不成。
      【例句】 Maybe he is right. 或许他是对的。He maybe wants t stay here. 他或许想留在这儿。He may be at hme. = Maybe he is at hme. 他可能在家。
      【用法】 seldm 意为“很少;不常”,是频度副词,相当于hardly ever,在句中通常放在系动词be、助动词或情态动词之后,实义动词之前。英语中常用的频度副词按频率的高低依次为:always(一直,总是) > usually(通常) > ften(经常) > smetimes(有时) > seldm/hardly ever(很少;几乎不) > never(从不)
      【例句】 He is seldm late fr wrk. 他上班很少迟到。I seldm g t the cinema these days because I am busy writing a bk reprt.我这些天很少去看电影,因为我忙着写读书报告。He always ges t wrk late. 他上班总是迟到。I usually g t schl at six. 我通常六点钟去上学。
      【例句】 We ften watch TV n weekends. 我们经常在周末看电视。Smetimes I read bks, and smetimes I draw. 我有时读书,有时画画。Kate hardly ever ges shpping. 凯特几乎不去购物。I have never seen such a terrible film. 我从未看过这么糟糕的电影。

      【用法】 duble n. 意为“ 双打”,常用复数形式 dubles。常见短语:the Men’s Dubles final 男子双打决赛; the Wmen’s Dubles final 女子双打决赛。【其他用法】① duble 作名词,还可意为“两倍”。② duble 还可作形容词,意为“成双的;两倍的”。Duble bed 意为“双人床”。③ duble 还可作动词,意为“加倍,是……的两倍”。既可作及物动词,也可作不及物动词。

      【例句】 I’ll cme and see yu smetime.我会在某个时间来看你的。I ften read bks. Smetimes I watch TV.我经常看书。有时会看电视。I will be in Beijing fr sme time. 我将在北京待一段时间。I have read the stry sme times. 这个故事我读了好几遍。
      【用法】 few adj. 意为“很少的,几乎没有的”,表示否定意义,后接可数名词复数。a few 意为“少数,几个”,表示肯定意义,后接可数名词复数。【辨析】little, a little 修饰不可数名词。其中 little 意为“几乎没有”,表示否定意义;a little 意为“有点,一些”,表示肯定意义。
      【例句】 There are few apples in the bag. 包里没有几个苹果了。Here are a few phts. 这里有几张照片。There is little water in the bttle. 瓶子里几乎没有水了。There is a little water in the bttle. 瓶子里有一些水。
      【用法】 excuse me 常用于以下情况:(1) 有礼貌地询问某事或请求允许时,可以说“excuse me”, 意思是“请问”。(2) 打断别人或中途离开,对自己不礼貌的行为道歉,意思是“不好意思”。(3) 从人群中穿过去,需要别人让路时,意思是“劳驾、借过”。(4) 在没有听清对方说了什么的时候,让对方再讲一遍,也可以说“pardn me”。
