Zhang Qian was a famus Chinese explrer and diplmat(探险家和外交家) during the Western Han Dynasty. He is famus fr pening up the Silk Rad. Ban Cha was a famus diplmat in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Living in the Western Regins (西域) fr abut 31 years, he helped trade alng the Silk Rad. Zheng He was a Chinese explrer and diplmat during the early Ming Dynasty. He was famus fr his seven vyages(航行) t the Western ceans. That greatly helped the develpment f maritime Silk Rad(海上丝绸之路的发展).

Maybe he was the first man t bring back gd infrmatin abut Central Asian lands t China.In 139 BC, Emperr Wu f Han sent (派遣) Zhang Qian t the Yuezhi peple t ask fr their help against (对抗) the Xingnu peple, because the Xingnu peple ften invaded (侵犯) them.
Unluckily, n the way t the Western Regins (区域), the Xingnu peple caught him. Zhang had t stay with them fr abut 10 years befre he gt away. When Zhang finally gt t the Yuezhi peple, he was sad t find that they didn’t want t fight against the Xingnu peple.When he came back, Zhang Qian and his men were caught again. They came back t China in 126 BC.
Zhang didn’t finish his jb, but he learned a lt abut the places, peple, custms(风俗) and cultures f the 36 kingdms (王国) in the Western Regins.Later Emperr Wu f Han sent Zhang t the Western Regins again. Zhang’s trip t the Western Regins helped develp internatinal trade, especially in silk, between China and the Western Regins. That’s the ancient Silk Rad.
