      Was Try a real place r just a stry? Fr years, many peple thught it was just a myth (神话). But a German named Heinrich Schliemann believed it was real. His strng belief helped him make sme very imprtant discveries.

      In 1871, he started digging at Hisarlik with a team f lcal wrkers. He sn became impatient with the slw wrk. T dig faster, he used dynamite. This sped up the excavatin (挖掘) but als caused serius damage t the site.
      Piece by piece, they uncvered weapns (武器), pttery (陶器) and many ther ancient bjects. These findings shwed that Hisarlik had a histry f ver 5,000 years. It had been rebuilt many times. Schliemann believed ne f these lst cities was Try.

      My exchange trip t China felt like a fantasy mvie. I had prepared by reading nline abut trips t China befre, yet my experience still surprised me.
      My first big surprise happened in Suzhu, ur first hst city. I had heard it called the “Venice (威尼斯) f the East” and imagined a small twn with quiet canals (运河). As sn as I stepped ut f the railway statin, I was shcked. Suzhu was s huge and mdern! Our schl std near ancient canals, where I saw tall glass buildings next t ld wden bats. It felt strange t see bth a “village” and a “city” in ne place. This cntrast (对比) made us lk at the city with fresh eyes.
      Later, we saw an even strnger cntrast in Beijing. My hst family lived near the hutngs. These narrw alleys were full f traditinal life. Just a shrt walk away, mdern skyscrapers rse int the sky. Peple say many hutngs are disappearing each year. Hw lucky we were t visit them!
      After these surprises, f curse, there were challenges. The biggest ne was the language barrier. Simple wrds like “hmewrk” r “bus stp” were smetimes hard t cmmunicate. Translatin apps became my best friends. They helped mst f the time, thugh smetimes the results were funny.
      Still, I met kindness everywhere. A stranger helped me find my way during a rainy day at the Summer Palace. A student at a cafe in Beijing spke English s well that I almst frgt I was abrad. These mments shwed me hw friendly Chinese peple were.
      In the end, this exchange trip was nt just abut studying; it was als abut understanding a culture and making friends. I enjyed every mment and truly can’t wait t visit China again!
