The envirnmental pllutin is wrsening day by day—many frests are cut dwn, and water and air are severely plluted, which has damaged ur living envirnment.
As a student, I stick t a lw-carbn life t save energy. First and fremst, I walk t schl every day; this nt nly cuts carbn emissins but als keeps me fit. Besides, I always turn ff lights and fans immediately when leaving the classrm. I als reuse paper and never waste water.
I hpe mre peple will jin the lw-carbn life, making ur earth greener and mre beautiful.
      2. Friends
What are friends? We ften discuss this tpic. In my view, friends are thse wh stand by yu thrugh thick and thin.
As the saying ges, “A friend in need is a friend indeed.” True friends will pint ut yur mistakes, even if the wrds are hard t hear. They let yu share jys—dubling happiness—and srrws—halving sadness. Smene nce said, “Yu can’t walk far withut a friend.” S friends are extremely imprtant.
I’ll cherish every sincere friendship and make mre gd friends.
      3. Hw t Deal with Our Study Prblems
Thugh we ften feel stressed abut studies, we must find prper ways t relieve it.

Mrever, we need t strike a balance between academic tasks and hbbies, planning spare time wisely. Never lse cnfidence—with hard wrk, we’ll make great prgress. When stuck, turn t teachers r classmates; keeping wrries t urselves is unwise.
These methds will help us handle study pressure better and mve frward steadily.
      4. Hw t Be a Greener Persn
It’s ur duty t prtect the envirnment arund us. Reducing ur carbn ftprint is a small but pwerful step we can take.
T start with, we shuld ride bikes r take buses t schl instead f asking parents t drive us. When ging ut, never step n grass r draw n public walls. Fr shpping, use clth bags instead f dispsable plastics t cut waste. At hme, save water and electricity—turn ff lights when leaving rms. The main character Tm is a lively and clever by wh lives with his strict Aunt Plly. He has many unfrgettable experiences: running t a river island with friends Huck and Je, hunting fr treasure with Huck, and even getting lst in a cave with Becky. Finally, they find a bx f gld. Key characters include pretty Becky, kind Huck, and the villain Injun Je.
The stry’s theme is children’s grwth—learning t be mre serius—and it teaches us t stay curius and brave. I’ve read it twice and still lve its vivid plts.

Hwever, I try t understand their intentins—their strictness cmes frm deep lve and hpe fr my bright future. Instead, eat mre vegetables and fruit—they’re rich in vitamins and fiber t bst ur immunity. My eating habits are healthy: I have whlemeal bread, eggs, and milk fr breakfast (it gives me enugh energy fr the mrning) and rice, ndles, and vegetables fr dinner. I never skip meals r eat junk fd.

Different peple lve different types f music. I enjy lud electrnic music with strng rhythms—it makes me excited and eager t dance. My favrite band is The Cl Kids. He’s nt very tall, with black hair, a big nse, and bright small eyes. What I like mst abut him is his warm smile—he always wears it, especially after defeating villains in his films. Mst f his mvies are exciting and full f psitive energy, and Plice Stry is my favrite—it fully shws his curage and superb actin skills.

      16. My Dream
Everyne has dreams, and as middle schl students, ur small dreams are imprtant parts f the “China Dream.” A big dream is made up f many small, steady effrts.
My name is Li Hng, and my dream is t be a great scientist. I want t cntribute t China’s scientific develpment, like inventing new technlgies t help peple’s lives. T achieve this dream, I’ll study hard: learn mre knwledge in math and science, d experiments carefully in class, and ask teachers fr help when I’m cnfused. When facing difficulties, I’ll stay psitive and never give up.
I believe every small step I take nw will bring me clser t my dream. Let’s hld n t ur dreams—they’ll cme true ne day!

In China, lunch is usually arund 12 ’clck, and it ften includes rice, vegetables, and meat t ensure balanced nutritin. Dinner is much earlier than in Western cuntries—mst families eat befre 7 p.m. We use chpsticks fr mst fd, and learning t use them skillfully is a way t shw respect fr lcal culture. Unlike Western three-curse dinners (appetizer, main dish, dessert), Chinese dinners have many dishes served tgether n the table. Als, Chinese peple lve talking abut fd during meals—it makes the time lively and enjyable.

In study, gd habits are als necessary: preview lessns befre class t grasp key pints in advance; listen carefully in class t fllw teachers’ ideas; and d hmewrk independently t check ur learning prgress.
Gd habits help us learn better, imprve ur skills, and develp self-discipline. They lay a slid fundatin fr future success. I’m glad I have frmed these gd habits!
      19. Sharing
Learning t share is a valuable lessn fr everyne—it makes life mre clrful and cnnects peple clser.
I share many things in different ways: I tell interesting stries frm bks t friends, share useful study tips via QQ, and talk abut happy mments (like winning a basketball game) with my family ver dinner. Once, my classmate Emily felt lnely because she just transferred t ur class. I shared my favrite strybks with her and chatted with her after class every day. Gradually, she became mre utging and made mre friends. Later, she even started sharing her drawing hbbies with me!
Sharing nt nly helps thers but als lets us feel happy and grw. Let’s all learn t share mre!
      20. The Spring Festival
The Spring Festival is the first day f China’s lunar year—it’s the mst imprtant festival in China, a time fr family reunin full f jy.
A mnth befre the festival, peple start busy preparatins: ck delicius traditinal fd (like dumplings, which symblize wealth, and fish, which means “surplus”); clean huses thrughly t “sweep away bad luck”; and decrate hmes with red lanterns and cuplets (red stands fr happiness, and cuplets have gd wishes). On New Year’s Eve, families gather fr a big dinner, stay up till midnight (called “shusui”), and set ff firewrks and crackers t welcme the new year. On the first day f the new year, kids wear new clthes (symblizing a fresh start) and greet their parents with “Happy New Year,” receiving lucky mney (called “hngba”) with best wishes.

      21. Thank Yu, My English Teacher
I want t say “thank yu” t my English teacher—he has helped me a lt and made English my favrite subject.

His classes are full f fun: he uses small games (like wrd puzzles) and interesting stries t make English easy and interesting. Thugh he’s kind, he’s strict with us—he never lets us pretend t knw what we dn’t. He ften tells us, “Memrizing wrds withut understanding is useless; yu need t use them in sentences.”
With his help, my English has imprved a lt. He’s nt just a teacher but a guide in my study. I’ll always remember his teachings and wrk harder at English.
      22. Is iPad Gd r Bad fr Middle Schl Students
I’m Li Hua, a junir high student. Nw many students have iPads, and sme see it as a fashin. But is the iPad gd r bad fr us?
On the ne hand, iPads are helpful fr study: we can dwnlad English listening materials t practice anytime, anywhere, and read e-bks t save paper. It really imprves ur learning efficiency. On the ther hand, sme students misuse iPads: they bring them t class, listen t music withut earphnes (which disturbs thers) r play games (which wastes precius class time).
In my pinin, we shuld use iPads mainly fr study—put them away during class t fcus n learning. Schls shuld als make rules t guide prper use. If used well, iPads can be a helpful tl; if nt, they’ll harm ur study.
