      Activity 2: Free talk
      T guides Ss t talk abut the abve festivals, including when, where, what and why. Als, T presents the symbls f each festival.
      Intentin: T help Ss have a deep understanding f Chinese festivals and get ready t learn abut the western festivals.
      Activity 3: Presentatin
      T intrduces sme western festivals, like Christmas, Hallween and Thanksgiving Day. Then, T asks Ss t watch a shrt vide and answer tw questins.
      Q1: What festival is the vide abut?
      Q2: What are the symbls f this festival?
      After the vide, T shws Ss the symbls f Hallween, like ghst, black cat, spider and s n. At the same time, T explains the meanings f “haunted huse” and “trick r treat”.
      Intentin: T help Ss have a general idea abut Hallween and get Ss t knw the
      meanings f new phrases, like “haunted huse” and “trick r treat”.

      Befre listening, T teaches Ss hw t listen fr the key wrds while listening. Ss are suppsed t keep this listening strategy in their minds and try t get the exact answers t the abve questins.
