Micrscpic particles (微观粒子) frm uter space are als called space dust. They’re in the dirt n the grund and n yur rf. They may discmfrt yur nse. They have settled all ver ur planet.
Despite their widespread presence, finding space dust isn’t easy. One place that the particles shw up mre easily is Antarctica. Arund a decade ag, Matthew Genge at Imperial Cllege Lndn spent seven weeks searching fr and cllecting dust there.
The disadvantage f cllecting dust frm Antarctica is the high cst and cmplicatins f travelling there. That’s why Penny Wzniakiewicz f the University f Kent in the UK has fcused n her research clser t hme. The key is t cllect material frm a fairly undisturbed spt. She seeks the rftps f ld buildings in the UK as the surce f her samples.
She fcuses n these rfs because they are ld and mre untuched than mdern buildings. What’s mre, histric buildings usually have well-kept recrds that indicate when cnservatin and cleaning have been dne. That makes it easier t determine hw lng space dust has been cllected and gives researchers insight int what ther particles might be present in the dust they cllect. This allws them t mre efficiently remve the Earth stuff, and fcus n the space stuff.
“The idea is t actually take smething yu can barely see n yur finger, and then make it much bigger s yu can hld it in yur hand,” says Wzniakiewicz. Each year, apprximately 100 billin particles f space dust land n Earth, carrying secrets frm uter space and ffering glimpses int the frmatin f planetary systems. These particles nt nly cntain water but als rganic mlecules (有机分子); they ptentially serve as the building blcks fr life n Earth. Space dust culd, therefre, tell scientists abut the cmplex relatinship between these celestial bdies (天体) and Earth. It acts as a bridge, cnnecting us t the wider space.

Have yu ever lst smething in a hard-t-reach space, like behind a cuch r a cupbard? Wuldn’t it be nice t just be able t squeeze in and ut? New innvatins in the field f rbtics will sn be able t make this nice idea int a reality.
In a study published n Jan. 25 in the science jurnal Matter, engineers frm The Chinese University f Hng Kng and Carnegie Melln University in the US have develped small rbts that can quickly change back and frth frm liquid t slid states.
Accrding t the website Mashable, the scientists were inspired by sea cucumbers (海参). They are able t change the stiffness f their bdy r reduce the ptential fr physical damage. The rbts in the study were made frm gallium, a sft metal with a lw melting pint f 30℃. The scientists then used changes in the magnetic field t handle the magnetic particles (粒子) inside the gallium material t prvide heat. This heat then allwed the rbts t change between slid and liquid states as well as t mve arund.
As the website Tech Xplre pinted ut, ther similar materials require external heat surces such as heat guns and electrical currents t bring a change f states; but nw, the rbts can use a heat surce inside itself t change states independently.
During the rbts’ experimental trials, the scientists cnducted a number f tests. These tests included having the rbts melt int liquid and re-frm t escape a prisn-like cage. It can remve a freign bject frm and deliver medicinal drugs t a mdel stmach. The rbt is als able t build and repair hard-t-reach circuits. The rbts’ ability t switch between states f matter allws fr a number f pssible uses and advancements in different fields, such as the bimedical and circuit assembly industries.
Still, in the wrds f senir authr Carmel Majidi at Carnegie Melln University, fr nw these are all just “prfs f cncept” which shw the abilities f these new kinds f rbts.

根据固定短语have a histry f意为“有…… 故填a。
故填was included。
A set f her handcrafted duble knit Li brcade一致,且与exhibit之间为被动关系,此处省略了“A set f her handcrafted duble knit Li brcade was”,所以此处使用过去分词形式。故填exhibited。
故填when。
故填as。
