Sme peple think that friends shuld be alike,but sme ther peple think that friends shuld be different. What d yu think? Shuld friends be similar r different?
I think a gd friend is like a mirrr. Yu can understand peple by knwing their friends. My friend,Stephen,is a great example. We ften hang ut tgether because we have similar hbbies and interests. Fr example,we bth lve sprts. He plays badmintn better than I d,s he always wins ur matches.
I dn′t agree. Fr me,friends wh are different make me better. I think we shuld respect each ther′s differences and learn frm each ther. Fr example,I am kind f shy,but my best friend,Yuan Lei,is utging. She has a great sense f humur t. Thanks t her,I am becming mre utging. Nw I think meeting new peple is really fun!
I have anther friend,Zhang Yng. He is nt afraid t give his pinin,especially when he thinks I am making a mistake. I am less straightfrward than he is,but I am glad t have an hnest friend.

take/have (an) interest in=be interested in 对······感兴趣shw (an) interest in 对······表现出兴趣

动名词 (短语) 作主语
本句中“meeting new peple”是动名词短语,在此处作宾语从句的主语。当单个动名词(短语)作主语时,谓语动词用单数形式。

pinin /ə′pɪnjən/ [名词] 看法;意见
常用短语 in ne′s pinin 意为“在某人看来”相当于 in ne′s eyes 或 in ne′s view,常用于引出某人的观点。
make a mistake 犯错
相当于 make mistakes,mistake 在此处作可数名词,意为“错误”。make mistakes/a mistake in... 意为“在······方面出错”。
[拓展] ① by mistake 意为“错误地;无意中”。
Ptat chips were invented by mistake. 薯片是无意中发明的。
② mistake 还可作动词,意为“弄错,误解”。其过去式和过去分词分别为 mistk 和 mistaken。mistake... fr... 意为“把······错当成······”。

less+形容词/副词原级+than 不如······;不及······
此结构为降级比较结构,相当于“nt as/s+形容词/副词原级+as...”。
[拓展] 多音节和部分双音节形容词或副词的比较级和最高级有两种形式。
hnest /′ɒnɪst/ [形容词] 诚实的;坦诚的
固定短语 t be hnest 意为“说实在的;老实说”。hnest 的发音以元音音素开头,其前使用不定冠词时,应用 an。
