一般来说,一个笼统的动作 V 在发生之前,可能会包含以下 1 至 2 个动作:V2(呼吸相关动作)、V3(手部动作)、V4(腿部动作)、V5(头部动作,包含眼部动作)、V6(口部动作) 。
举例如下:
“坐下来”这一动作可分解为:深呼吸 + 扫视观众 + 坐下来。
英文表达为:He tk a deep breath, glanced at the audience and began t sit dwn.
“和孩子拥抱”这一动作可分解为:对孩子笑着眨眼 + 把孩子拉到怀抱里 + 紧紧拥抱。
英文表达为:He winked at his sn, pulled him int his arms and hugged him tightly.
鉴于此,我们很有必要熟练掌握一些动词的具体用法。

总结
很多优秀的小说用的都是常见的动词。优秀在于描写的角度、想象的丰富,让人身临其境。因此我们不要着急去背诵,而是要用心揣摩作者刻画的角度。譬如:
Marcus buried his face in Tata’s chest, breathing in his familiar smell. Every day—every hur—Marcus had wished fr this mment.
马库斯把脸埋在塔塔的胸前,呼吸着他熟悉的气味。每一天,每一小时,马库斯都希望这一刻的到来。
分析:这里的用词很简单,动词就是bury、breathe和wish,但作者通过呼吸气味这个角度说明孩子对父亲的期待,非常贴切,一下子触动了读者的相似经历 。

One day, Len’s math teacher, pulled him aside. “ Yu need t d better, a lt better, r yu’re nt ging t pass this class. There’s a big test cming up. ”
Len’s heart sank. When he gt hme, he talked with Edward abut it. The bys agreed that ver the next tw weeks they intended t spend an hur each day after schl wrking n math prblems and then an hur playing basketball.
“Here is a gd ne,” Edward said and pinted t a wrd prblem. “ Why dn’t yu read it?”
Len lked at the bk fr several secnds. “ I’m dizzy already!” He exclaimed.
“D yu knw what the first step is?” asked Edward, “The first step is t stay cl and fcused.” Edward talked Len thrugh the prblem. “Think abut what yu need t find ut. Dn’t let the prblem trick yu.” Step by step, tgether they figured it ut and gt the right answer. Len sn discvered that Edward was really gd at helping him.
