Yu can’t taste better
Schl students are nt allwed (允许) t drink wine, but there’s nthing wrng with making it. Urumqi N 37 Middle Schl students in Xinjiang have been ding it since 2005.
Grapes are grwn intensively (多产地) in Xinjiang. It’s the reasn the schl decided t teach students hw t make red wine fur years ag, accrding t Zhu Dacheng, vice-principal (副校长) f the schl.
“We hpe the students can find ut abut smething in real life and learn practical skills,” he said.
The students gt t wrk in September, when the grapes in Xinjiang ripen (成熟). They were divided int grups. They needed abut 5kg f grapes each, sme yeast (酵母), a basin and a jar (罐子).
Making the wine
Yang Lili, 13, tld Teens hw the fur students in her grup made their wine.
