三、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
Show a picture of an earthquake and lead the topic about the earthquake.【设计意图】通过引导学生谈论地震，引入话题。Step 2 Pre-readingShow the pictures of Taiwan earthquake and get Ss to predict the order.【设计意图】通过将图片排序，引导学生初步了解故事发生的顺序，培养学生逻辑思维能力。Step 3 While-reading1. Read the passage and put the pictures into right order.【设计意图】通过读文章并给图片排序，检测学生的读前预测结果，同时了解故事的梗概。2. Read paragraph by paragraph and complete the forms to get what Jimmy did/saw/heard/felt.【设计意图】通过设置不同的阅读活动，帮助学生从整体到细节，再深入局部，获取相关信息，为学生深层次的讨论活动做好准备。Step 4 Post-reading1. Listen to the recording and read the passage loudly.【设计意图】通过学生跟读录音，注意语音语调，提高学生的口语水平。2. Discuss the questions and then learn some tips in an earthquake. 3.
