辨析happen与take place

happen 指偶然、没有预料地发生

take place 事先规划好的，通常指活动、表演、庆典等等按照计划发生。

happen和 take place共同点

(1)都是不及物动词(词组)，不能用于被动语态。

(2)二者都是非延续性动词(词组)，都不能与表示时间段的时间状语连用。

mind的用法

expect的用法

1. expect+名词/代词，意为“期待某物/人;预计……可能发生”

Everybody expects a bright future

2. expect to do sth意为“期待做某事”

I can't expect to change my bad habits in a short time.

3. expect sb to do sth意为“期望某人做某事”

Our parents always expect us to work hard and develop our skills.

4.expect+that从句意为 “预计......”

I expect that I will be back on Sunday.

be able to 的用法

be able to 表示“能够做某事，它和can 的意思一样，在用发上它们有一些不同，具体如下：

1. can则强调自身已具有的能力。

* She can sing the song in English.

 be able to 强调通过努力而获得的能力，

* He will be able to sing this song in English in a few minutes, too.

2. can 可用于表示可能，推测，允许等，而be able to不能这样用。

* Can it be true? This can't be true.

3. can只有一般现在和一般过去两种时态, 而be able to 可以使用许多时态。

* I could help you last night, but you didn't come.

* He will be able to help you.

* He has not been able to complete the job.

4. be able to 前可有其它情态动词。

* He may not be able to come.

make sure 的用法

make sure表示尽力做到，深信，务必等含义;可接that从句及其从句的时态，还可接不定式，但不可接动名词。

1.接that从句。make sure that...意思是说:“让that 从句里面说的事情做到万无一失。”，因此，我们翻译成“确保”之意。

make sure除了接从句外，还可以接不定式，但不能接动名词。

make sure of 和 be sure about 的区别

make sure of  的意思是“ 确保、确保、 弄清楚” ,后接名词或相当于名词的词。

be sure of/about + 名词，代词，动名词 意为确信，对…有把握, 表示对客观事物有肯定的认识和判断,主语必须是人。

不定式作宾语

1. 英语中能接不定式作宾语的主要动词有：

三个希望两答应   hope, wish, expect, agree, promise

两个要求莫拒绝。 demand, ask, refuse

设法学会做决定，manage, learn, decide/determine

不要假装在选择。 pretend, choose/select

打算提出俩计划， intend, offer, plan, mean

申请失败负担起， apply, fail, afford

准备愿望又碰巧。 prepare, desire, happen

2. find, make, think, believe, consider等动词后如果是不定式作宾语，补语是形容词（或名词），常用it作形式宾语，把不定式后移。

I find it difficult to work with him.

我发现很难和他一起工作。

He made it a rule to get up at five.

他规定每天5点起床。

3. 疑问词+不定式动词。

 适用于“疑问词+不定式动词”的动词包括：“know, see, decide, tell, ask, consider, discover, explain, forget, guess, hear, imagine, inquire, learn, remember, think, wonder, understand”等。

一般将来时

一般将来时由“助动词shall（第一人称），will（第二、三人称）+ 动词原形”构成。

表示将来某一时刻的动作或状态，或将来某一段时间内经常的动作或状态。常常和表示将来的时间状语连用。如：tomorrow（明天）， next week（下周 ）；in the future（将来）等。

表示将来时的常见方式还有以下几种：

(1)用be going to+动词原形”表示示打算和预测。

We are not going to stay there long.

I’m afraid they' re going to lose the game.

(2)用“be to+动词原形”表示按计划或安排即将要发生的动作;有时也表示命令、禁止或可能性。

He is to leave for Beijing tomorrow.

(3) 用“be about to +动词原形”表示即将要发生的事。
