Lesson21:Books or Computers  

一．教学目标: 1.掌握课标要求的“四会”词汇：appear, modern, electronic, sell.

2. 能了解如何用英语介绍书籍的历史。

3. 能介绍自己读书的情况。

二．教学重点：

学习一些用于介绍动物的句式:  

They wrote each word by hand.

It was possible to print books quickly.

A new kind of book appeared: the electronic book.

1.掌握一些与介绍动物有关的重点词汇：appear, mode, electronic, sell.

四．教学过程：

Step1   Lead- in 

Show some pictures of reading books. 

Step2  new words and expressions  

Press, n. 印刷机 ；   appear, v. 出现；呈现；来到

   modern ,adj.  现代的；新式的

  electronic , adj. 电子的

    sell  v. 卖；出售

Step3  根据汉语提示填空。

1. There are many _________ (印刷机) in this old house.
2. What about ________ (出现) with one hand ?
3. In a test message, you can _________ (卖) eye contact.
4. This  ________ (现代的) clothes in its own nest.

Step6  Language Points  

1.  People passed on their knowledge by telling stories.

 人们通过讲故事来传播知识。pass on   传递；前进；                    2. They wrote each word by hand.  他们用手来写每个单词。

by hand  用手；手工He moved the huge stone by hand. 他用手移动了那块大石头。

3. Then, the printing press appeared and  changed the world.然后，印刷机出现了并改变了世界。

4. With modern technology, it was possible to print books quickly.

 随着现代现代技术的发展，快速印书成为可能。

It is/was+ adj+ to do sth.  做某事……

(It作形式主语，真正的主语是to do sth.)

It is very interesting to learn English.

注意：若形容词是描述不定式行为者的性格、品质的，如kind/ good/ nice/ right/ wrong/ clever/ careless/ polite/ foolish等，用of sb。若形容词仅仅是描述事物，用for sb，这类形容词有difficult/ easy/ hard/ important/ dangerous/ impossible等。

例如: 早起床对我们的身体有好处。It is good for our health to gei up early你能帮助我真好 It’s very kind of you to help me.

5.No matter what you have, a computer, a tablet, a laptop, an-reader or a real book, keep on reading! 不管你有什么，电脑、平板、笔记本电脑、一本电子读物或一本真书，坚持阅读。

 keep on 继续  → keep on doing sth 例如:下课后，我们继续上课。 After classs, we keep on having our class

Step7: Fill in the blanks. The first letter is given.
