Sa: T my understanding, a great persn is smene wh shuld be hard-wrking, determined, unselfish and generus. If he/she wrks hard, hwever great the difficulty he/she meets is, he/she will g n wrking hard. If he/she is unselfish and generus, he/she will help thers withut pay and get respect frm thers. If he/she is determined, he/she will never give up when he/she is in great truble.
Sb: T my understanding, a great persn is smene wh shuld be kind, brave, determined and cnfident. As a great persn, he /she first shuld be kind-hearted. Only when he /she is kind-hearted, he/she can help thers when they are in truble. Secnd he/she shuld be brave, when he /she are facing the danger, fear r terrr, he wn’t be afraid. Sa: Yes, they are William Tyndale, Nrman Bethune, Sun Yat-sen, Gandi, Nelsn Mandela and Neil Armstrng. They are all imprtant peple.

Sa: I think Nrman Bethune is a great man. He develped several innvative (革新的) surgical instruments which are still in use tday. Nrman Bethune is best knwn in China fr his wrk as a field surgen with the Eight Rute Army frm 1937-1939. During this time he invented mbile bld banks t prvide bld transfusins t wunded sldiers in the field. Dr. Bethune died n Nvember 12, 1939 in China. His sacrifice (牺牲) was cmmemrated by Ma Zedng in his essay "In Memry f Nrman Bethune". Bethune’s spirit f service, curage and innvatin cntinues t inspire Canada-China innvative partnerships tday. He is a great internatinalist.
Sb: I think William Tyndale is a great man. He gave us ur English Bible. Frbidden t wrk in England, Tyndale translated and printed in English the New Testament and half the Old Testament between 1525 and 1535 in Germany and the Lw Cuntries. He wrked frm the Greek and Hebrew riginal texts when knwledge f thse languages in England was rare. But he was cndemned as a heretic, Tyndale was strangled and burned utside Brussels in 1536.
Sc: I think Sun Yat-sen is a great man. He is the great pineer f Chinese demcratic (民主)revlutin. Mr. Sun’s riginal name is Sun Wen and styled himself Yat-sen. When he tk part in the revlutinary activities, he was respectfully and widely called Mr. Sun Zhngshan in China. He put frward the famus guiding principle — "driving the invaders ut, restring the svereignty f China, establishing a republic and equalizing the land wnership” and the Three Peple’s Principle — "natinalism; peple’s rights; peple’s livelihd". He funded the first Republic in China in 1911 after many years’ fighting.
Sd: In my pinin, Gandi is a great man. He was called "Bapu", meaning "Father"— because he was the father f the Indian natin f the twentieth century. He frmed an rganizatin leading the Indians’ struggle fr equal rights. He gave up a rich life fr his ideas and fught fr his cuntry t be free frm the UK in a peaceful way. Gandhi was much mre than a clever lawyer, a fine speaker, a determined fighter fr human rights and a plitical leader. He was a mdel f a different kind f plitical leader. At the time f his death, Albert Einstein praised him as fllws: Future generatins, it may be, will hardly believe that such a persn as this walked upn this earth.
Se: I think Nelsn Mandela is a great man. He is the frmer Suth African president. In rder t make the black peple get the freedm, he fught many years and was put in prisn fr thirty years. He helped the black peple t realize the dream f making black and white peple equal.
Sf: In my view, Neil Armstrng is a great man. Neil Alden Armstrng is the first man t walk n the mn. As spacecraft cmmander fr Apll XI, the first manned lunar landing missin, Armstrng was the first man t walk n the Mn. "That’s ne small step fr a man, ne giant leap fr mankind." With these histric wrds, man’s dream f the ages was fulfilled.
