Step 1: Warming-up
Tell students that this perid’s tpic is “chse the best app”.
Q 1: What is an app?
In cmputing, an applicatin is a piece f sftware designed t carry ut a particular task.
Q2: What kinds f apps d yu usually use?
Q3: What can we d with these apps?
1. Learning apps
2. Shpping apps
3. Entertainment apps
4. Exercise apps
[设计意图]:直接引出本课话题“应用程序”;通过激活学生已有的知识,激发学习的学习兴趣,师生一起回忆日常生活中常用的应用程序。
Step 2: Listening
Activity 1-purpses f using apps
Ask students t listen t the cnversatin. Befre listening, ask students t read the tw sentences and find ut what they shuld pay attentin t when listening. After listening t the cnversatin, students find ut persnal purpses when chsing apps.

Activity 2-functins f apps
Ask students t listen t the cnversatins again and decide whether the fur sentences are true r false.
Q1: Befre listening, can yu find ut the key wrds f each sentence?
Q2: Lking at these key wrds, what d they talk abut? - functins f apps
Check answers tgether. Students may find it difficult t decide whether the third sentence is true r false. The teacher asks students t listen t a part f cnversatin again and find ut the crrect answer.

Activity 3-expectatins f apps
Ask students t read the fllwing fur sentences and underline the wrds t express predictins, guesses and beliefs.
Ask students t listen nce mre and tick the sentences they hear.
[设计意图]:第一遍听力活动重点训练学生获取主旨的能力,同时引导学生关注对方选择应用程序时各自的目的。第二遍听力活动是判断信息正误,在听力活动前,让学生提取四个句子的关键词,找出关键词共同点,发现第二个听力活动的重点在于获取应用程序的功能,这样学生带着目的去听力,更有侧重点,更加容易获取听力信息。在第二听力材料中,培养了学生通过上下文猜测词义的能力。第三遍听力活动重点引导学生学习对话中表示“预测、猜测及相信”的功能意念项目,同时引导学生关注选择应用程序时个人的预期。

Ask students t lk at the example cnversatin and find sme clues t help them make their wn dialgue.

Activity 2
Ask students t chse an app that they like and talk abut the reasns why they prefer this app. Give students tips fr talking that are summarized frm listening material.
[设计意图]:输出活动一需要学生用听力材料中所学到的“预测、猜测和相信”的句式编写对话,强化了学生们对于“预测、猜测及相信”功能意念项目的认知。此外,学生在编写对话的过程中也意识到用“原因”去支撑自己观点的重要性。在输出活动二中学生们需要推荐一个他们最喜欢的应用程序。此活动再次回归真实情境,鼓励学生将课堂所学知识进行迁移创新,从“目的”、“功能”和“个人预期”三个方面出发,推荐合适的应用程序。
