      I started my language learning with French. I studied French at high schl, mstly with
      textbks. At sme pint my family member recmmended that I try Glssika. I decided t dig
      deeper int the way— lked int Glssika n Yutube— and I thught that this might really

      but a new study frm Stanfrd researchers ffers hpe. The study, led by Jennifer Wang and Priya Fielding-Singh, was published in the Jurnal f adlescent Health. The researchers find that when teens have health-related fd rules at hme, they are mre likely t eat healthily n their wn.
      T understand hw teens make fd decisins, Wang and Fielding-Singh surveyed 1, 246 high schl students frm the San Francisc Bay Area. The students were asked abut their eating habits and what their parents taught them abut fd. The findings shwed that teens were
      generally aware f which fds were healthy and which were unhealthy—a fact that parents ften ignre.
      But Wang and Fielding-Singh wanted t knw mre than just what teenagers thught abut fd. They wanted t see hw teens behaved when they thught their parents weren’t watching.
      That’s why they cnducted an experiment where students chse snacks with r withut their
      parents’ agreement. Ten snack ptins were presented; five healthy and five less healthy. The
      results shwed that teens with health-related fd rules at hme were mre likely t pick healthy snacks, whether their parents were watching r nt.
      “It is imprtant fr parents t understand whether fd rules— and which nes— can help encurage healthy eating,” Wang said. The researchers fund that rules fcusing n health—such as allwing junk fd nly n special ccasins r requiring vegetables at dinner— were effective because they stressed the imprtance f cnsidering healthiness when making fd chices.       the ther hand, rules unrelated t health, such as n cellphnes at table, had n impact n teens’ fd decisins.
      “We hpe these findings ffer sme encuragement t parents,” said Fielding-Singh.
