Hwever, the study als had a surprising result. Over the seven - year study perid, plastic bag litter increased acrss mst sites, with r withut bans. The difference was that in places with bans r fees, this increase was much slwer and smaller. “Cmpared t having n rules, it's clear that bag bans are better,” Oremus said, “but rules that nly ask shppers t change may nt be enugh t stp plastic pllutin.”
This pints t a pssible future slutin. In 2022, 175 cuntries began wrking n a glbal treaty(条约)t end plastic pllutin, which may limit the prductin f single - use plastics. While they think this is imprtant, the researchers als say that schl lessns alne cannt stp the spread f false infrmatin made by AI. This leads t an imprtant questin abut wh else in sciety needs t help slve this prblem, if schl educatin is nt enugh.
      32. Hw des the authr present the issue in the first paragraph?
      A. By giving examples.B. By making a cmparisn.
