By reviewing 280 studies cnducted frm 1975 t 2020 n 113 plant species in the regin, the researchers cllected data n the plants’ physical features such as size and clr, as well as their eclgy and rarity.
      The analysis f the data shwed that certain plants were nt nly mre studied than thers, but als shared particular features mre ften than wuld be expected by chance. Plants with blue flwers have been well studied even thugh blue is ne f the least cmmn flwer clrs; plants with red, pink r white flwers beat thse with brwn r green flwers, and plants with tall stems (茎) als std ut. “Our findings dn’ t suggest that researchers fcus n prettier plants,” Adam says, “but rather that mre nticeable, easy-t-lcate and clrful flwering plants are the nes receiving mre attentin.”
