代词
若句中缺主语，般是填人称代词主格
空格前为及物动词（短语）或介词，可能填人称代词宾格作宾语
作形式主语、形式宾语、构成强调句等
限定词
空格后为名词，且名词前没有限定词（冠词、形容词性物主代词、不定代词等)修饰，可能填限定词
介词
若空格后为名词、代词或动名词，且它们在句中不作主语、表语或动词宾语时，很可能填介词
连词或从句引导词
若空格前后的单词、短语之间是并列关系，则可能填并列连词。
若两个句子之间没有连词，也没有分号或句号，考虑填并列连词（连接并列的句子）或从句的引导词（连接定语从
句、名词性从句和状语从句)。
副词
若句子结构及成分完整，所填词用于连接句子或从句，则很可能填then,thus,hwever,therefre,besides等
情态动词或助动词
若句子结构完整，空格后是动词原形，而且上下文不是现在时态或主语不是复数时，则很可能填情态动词，或填表示强调或倒装的助动词(d，des，did等)
固定句式
强调句：由"It "强调结构判断，填that或wh
倒装句：可能填构成倒装条件的nly，s，neither，n never,hardly,seldm,nt until,.had等，及there be句型
固定搭配
根据空格前后及端句来判空格的前后是否构成固定搭配，但有时要对句中的儿个词”视而不见”才能填出答案，也就是把句中的几个词省略掉才能作出判断。
