A new study has prvided further explanatin fr the deaths f 350 African elephants in Btswana during 2023. It was the result f drinking frm waterhles where deadly algae(藻) ppulatins had explded due t climate change. Elephant bdies were first fund in the nrth-eastern part f the cuntry between May and June 2023, but prf shwed that illegal hunting was nt the cause.

The researchers als fund that rtten(腐烂的) elephant bdies were mre spread ut acrss the landscape than the fresh, indicating that the die-ff in 2023 was different frm nrmal elephant death patterns. Suthern Africa is thught t becme drier and htter under climate changes, s waterhles acrss this area will likely be drier fr mre mnths f the year. Our findings pint t the ptential negative effects n water quantity and quality, and the dangers t animals. Meanwhile, the findings als shw the bad need t bserve carefully verall water quality acrss all waterbdies, including the smallest nes.
      29. What is the direct cause f the elephant deaths?
      A. Illegal hunting.B. Disease utbreak.
      C. Badly plluted water.D. Terrible climate change.
      30. What can we learn frm Paragraph 2-3?
      A. The satellite recrded each elephant’s behaviur.
      B. The increasing water level killed many elephants.
      C. Elephant bdies were mainly fund beside waterhles.
      D. The rapid grwth f algae cntributed t the elephant deaths.
      31. What des the authr say abut the weather in paragraph 4?
      A. It experienced great change.
      B. It has been dry fr several years.
      C. It was under the influence f humans.
      D. It remained fixed with nrmal rainfall.
      32. What d the findings suggest in the last paragraph?
      A. Water quality needs t be mnitred.
      B. Satellite technlgy requires t be studied.
      C. The area will becme mre suitable fr elephants.
      D. Waterhles will suffer serius drught thrughut the year.

First, Reading literary wrks nt nly enriches ur vcabulary and imprves ur language skills but als ffers a deep understanding f the wrld where we live. In additin, we can gain insights int different cultures thrugh nvels, pems and plays. Last but nt least, enjying literature is a relaxing activity which can be away frm stress f daily life.
I wuld like t recmmend a bk that has left a deep impressin n me: Pride and Prejudice written by Jane Austen. This nvel is set in 19th-century England and tells the stry f a wman named Elizabeth Bennet and her jurney t find lve and happiness.
