I never realized hw much public speaking came with being a writer. After my first three bks, n ne asked me t speak publicly, which I was fine with because I always hated it.

The night befre my appearance, an rganizer shwed me the place: a small tent in the twn square. There was an event happening, and I nticed there was n interviewer r table. The authr was standing alne, speaking t abut 80 peple. I simply watched in hrrr.
“Hw lng d the talks last?” I asked. “Abut 50 minutes,” said the rganizer. “We like t leave time fr questins.”

Whether a child grws up t be ptimistic r nt is partly genetic (遗传的)and partly envirnmental. “Childhd experiences, parent-child cnnectin, r authrity figures will all have sme influence,” she said. Althugh ptimism (r the lack f it) culd be passed dwn genetically, it can als be taught.
