On the day f her surgery, Flwer, wh bserves Ziggy and the ther animals’ care, says that she and her team “were all quite anxius nt knwing what wuld happen”. Cmputer testing will reduce the length f time required fr testing, because the tests adjust t the test-taker’s ability. These cmputer-adaptive tests als increase accuracy in scring. Cmputer-adaptive tests change depending n the test-taker’s respnses. They can becme mre r less difficult during the testing sessin. Fr this reasn, the set f crrect answers will be different fr each test-taker.

The items are being designed in such a way that they test real-wrld prficiency and nt simply srt f an artificial envirnment r a specific set f skills that are taught in a classrm. Bad news sells. If it bleeds, it leads. N news is gd news, and gd news is n news. Thse are the classic rules fr the evening bradcasts and the mrning papers. T test fr that pssibility, Dr. Berger lked at hw peple spread a particular set f news stries: thusands f articles n The New Yrk Times’ website.
