Lake Naivasha, nrthwest f Nairbi, Kenya is becming increasingly difficult t sail thrugh. Water hyacinth, the wrld’s mst widespread invasive r nn-native species, is blanketing the lake and chking its fish. What’s happening in Lake Naivasha is a stry repeated all ver the wrld. T give examples f invasive animals.
T stress the value f his recent article.
      T advcate spreading them wrldwide.
T shw their upside as nn-native species.
      What’s Sax’s suggestin fr future research n nn-native species?

Karie duble-checked the wrds n her spelling test. If she gt 100 percent tday, she’d win her class’s First-Quarter Spelling Challenge and a brand-new dictinary that came with vides and ther cl stuff.
Three mre wrds t g. N-i-c-e-l-y. Q-u-i-c-k-l-y. H--n-e-s-t-y. Wait! She’d spelled hnesty, nt hnestly! She erased the t-y and wrte l-y befre handing in her paper.
“I’ll crrect these while yu’re at break,” Ms. McCrmack said.
After break time, Karie hurried int the classrm. She fidgeted in her seat and tapped her pencil anxiusly. Ms. McCrmack walked t the frnt f the rm and cleared her thrat. “Cngratulatins, Karie! Yu did it!” she annunced.
      The whle class erupted!
Ms. McCrmack presented Karie with her prize. Karie grinned as she read the label n the bx: T Karie Carter, fr her perfect first-quarter scre in spelling.
Upn arriving hme, Karie shwed her Mm the spelling test and prize. Mm hugged her. “Put the test n the fridge s Dad and Kevin can see it when they get hme.” Karie appreciated her test merrily in frnt f the fridge. “I can spell nicely, quickly and hnesly, and…”
Karie’s stmach tumbled t the flr. Hnesly? H-O-N-E-S-L-Y!
“Karie, what’s the matter?” said Mm. “I dn’t feel s gd,” Karie said, stuffing the test paper int her backpack.
Karie pldded dwn the hall, went t her rm, and fell nt her bed. Hw culd she tell the class she hadn’t earned the prize after all? That Ms. McCrmack had given the dictinary wrngly?
With a smell f pizza cming ut frm the kitchen then, Karie thught back t the last time they’d picked up pizza. They had almst reached hme when Mm realized the cashier had given them t much change. “Let’s turn arund,” Mm had said. The whle time they were driving back t the pizzeria, Kevin had kept saying, “But it’s nt ur fault the cashier didn’t ntice. She shuld have been mre careful.”
“Had Kevin been right?” Karie pulled ut the test paper and picked up her pencil. If she put the missing “t” back in, n ne wuld ever knw.
