An unpleasant smell flated int my nse as the bwl f fried stinky tfu (臭豆腐)settled nt my grandmther's dinner table. I immediately sat back. The smell ruined my appetite, and I pushed the dish away.
“It's suppsed t stink. Just give it a try!” my grandmther said.
Hlding my breath, I unwillingly tk a bite. T my surprise, the tfu beneath the fried skin was warm, sft, and muthwatering. Since then, whenever I visited my grandmther's huse, I wuld rush t the kitchen fr the stinky tfu with excitement. Thus, stinky tfu became mre than a husehld traditin. It became my favrite dish.
Alng with the stinky tfu, I wuld meet my Uncle Chan n every visit. As an immature by,I never understd my uncle's cnditin f Dwn syndrme(唐氏综合征).He was an unfriendly and terrible creature in my eyes. “Mre and mre data are made available t drivers thrugh in-vehicle systems.Hwever, it's nt safe r practical t infrm drivers f the infrmatin unless yu knw the state f the driver,” said Dr Bashar Ahmad frm Cambridge's Department f Engineering.
Ahmad, tgether with ther researchers, develped an algrithm (算法) t address this prblem. The algrithm analyzes the driver's behaviur, rad cnditins etc. t measure the driver's wrklad s that the driver and the in-vehicle systems such as navigatin (导航) and advanced driver assistance systems(ADAS) culd interact at the right time. “Driving in an unfamiliar area may mean a high wrklad, s we shuld avid flustering the driver then, while driving in ur neighbrhd may invlve a lwer wrklad, making it the right time fr a message t appear n a screen,” said Ahmad.
T measure drivers’ wrklad, the researchers first cllected, in an autmated way, drivers’ subjective wrklad infrmatin during driving. Fr the experiment, a phne shwing a rute n a navigatin app was fixed t the car, next t a small LED ring light that wuld flash at regular perids. Participants all fllwed the same rute thrugh a mix f rural, urban and main rads. They were asked t push a finger-wrn buttn whenever the LED light turned red and they perceived they were in a lw-wrklad situatin.
Vide analysis f the experiment, paired with the data frm the buttns, allwed the researchers t identify high-wrklad situatins. The researchers used the n-rad data t develp a machine learning framewrk t assess drivers based n their average wrklad, and a Bayesian filtering apprach (贝叶斯滤波法) t estimate the drivers’ real-time wrklad.
“Mst machine learning applicatins like this are trained n data frm a particular driver, but this applicatin enables us t adjust the mdels accrdingly using a simple Bayesian filtering technique,” said Ahmad. ” It can easily adjust t different rad types and cnditins, r different drivers using the same car.”
“This research is vital fr understanding the impact f ur design frm a user’ s perspective, s that we can cntinually imprve safety and driving experiences,” said Senir Technical Specialist Dr Lee Skrypchuk.

D. Finding the apprpriate time fr driver-vehicle interactins.
62. What des the underlined wrd“flustering” in paragraph 2 mean?

63. What did pressing a finger-wrn buttn indicate in the experiment?
A. The driver requested a speed increase.
B. The driver was in a relaxed driving state.
C. The driver had switched n the headlights.
