Befre entering cllege, I had heard s many stries abut hw stressful freshman year culd get and that this wuld ptentially be the mst difficult experience I wuld ever have t g thrugh. And yes, fr the mst part, thse stries did live up t the reality.
In the first several mnths, I was urged t imprve my scial skills and t befriend peple. Persnally, there was a clear struggle n wanting t adjust and nt simply adapt. Adapting required a change in behavir fr the sake f fitting in and I didn't want that. Luckily and eventually, I was able t find my wn grup. It just required extra wrk and patience.
Naturally, there were academic bstacles that arse. The biggest ne was my majr. I was enrlled as a cmmunicatin studies majr. I chse it because it seemed like a safe haven. But I later discvered that it didn't actually fit my likes. After tw quarters, serius thinking and several mini breakdwns, I switched t philsphy.
Ever since I was yunger, I have knwn I wanted t wrk in the field. It has always intrigued me. T be hnest, I've never had t read such challenging texts in my life, but I enjy it. It pushes me beynd my limits in a gd way. It intrduces me t cncepts and theries that I've never heard f. Mre imprtantly, it desn't nly make me mre lgical. It als makes me mre empathic(有移情作用的)and understanding f thers.

Befre entering cllege, I had heard s many stries abut hw stressful freshman year culd get and that this wuld ptentially be the mst difficult experience I wuld ever have t g thrugh. And yes, fr the mst part, thse stries did live up t the reality.
In the first several mnths, I was urged t imprve my scial skills and t befriend peple. Persnally, there was a clear struggle n wanting t adjust and nt simply adapt. Adapting required a change in behavir fr the sake f fitting in and I didn't want that. Luckily and eventually, I was able t find my wn grup. It just required extra wrk and patience.
Naturally, there were academic bstacles that arse. The biggest ne was my majr. I was enrlled as a cmmunicatin studies majr. I chse it because it seemed like a safe haven. But I later discvered that it didn't actually fit my likes. After tw quarters, serius thinking and several mini breakdwns, I switched t philsphy.
Ever since I was yunger, I have knwn I wanted t wrk in the field. It has always intrigued me. T be hnest, I've never had t read such challenging texts in my life, but I enjy it. It pushes me beynd my limits in a gd way. It intrduces me t cncepts and theries that I've never heard f. Mre imprtantly, it desn't nly make me mre lgical.
