The yung man was passinate abut imprving healthcare in Maharashtra, a place that lacked qualified dctrs and healthcare wrkers. Mrever, there were many quacks, wh might quit studying after a year f medicine schl and return hme as “healthcare prviders”.
Then Khandelwal was intrduced t the a MAHAN Trust, a healthcare rganizatin serving rural parts f Maharashtra. At the time, the MAHAN Trust was training village health wrkers t carry ut basic medical tasks, such as taking measurements and transprting data t hspitals fr review. Thrugh them, Khandelwal learned that nly 10 t 15 trained wrkers served a ppulatin f 200,000. While the methd shwed results, it was time-cnsuming and required significant imprvement t handle the large vlume f cases mre efficiently.
That’s where Get2Greater came in — it separates the unhealthy frm the healthy, s dctrs can fcus n mre pressing cases. The app can recrd basic health-related data pints, cmpile (汇编) them in rder f pririty and send them t dctrs nearby. Khandelwal sent a tablet cmputer equipped with a basic sftware prttype (软件原型) t the MAHAN Trust and established a line f cmmunicatin with healthcare wrkers there. “I asked them t prvide feedback n the app,” he said.
Khandelwal’s prpsal wn him funding and after numerus trials, he created a Wi-Fi cmpnent s the devices culd cnnect t the lcal hspitals. He has als been in talks with the UN t help take the device t ther parts f the wrld.

There’s a wise, highly accurate saying I’ve heard frm track caches ver the years: The best wrkut fr yu is the ne yu least want t d. As a runner, I feel stressed abut lng intervals (长距离间歇训练). But I’ve survived the prcess enugh times ver the years t register just hw gd they are fr me. They wrk wnders fr my legs and lungs, and despite w tired I am when it’s ver, I can always walk hme with my head held high.
This kind f stress is called “eustress”. By definitin, eustress is perceived as within ur capacity t handle. Eustress arises frm challenging yet manageable situatins; it pushes us past ur cmfrt znes, enhances ur life satisfactin, and cntributes t ur psychlgical and physilgical develpment.
Mst f us are experts at eustress avidance. In rder t get thrugh a wrkweek, we’d rather nt rck the bat with anything t ambitius, let alne mildly frightening. But accepting and actively pursuing eustress is a gd idea.
Accrding t the Berkeley Well-Being Institute, eustress prmtes happy hrmnes (荷尔蒙), which makes sense: There’s an bvius excitement at play nce yu defeat yur latest difficulty, But the impact is far-reaching, t — victries can help encurage hpe. When yu let eustress in, yu’re encuraging yurself t view challenges as pprtunities fr grwth, rather than threats. When we hug eustress, we apprach difficult situatins with a mre psitive utlk, enhancing ur ptimism abut the future.
Perhaps the mst interesting aspect f eustress is its clse link t the psychlgical cncept f flw. The “flw state” is a studied phenmenn that accunts fr an individual’s cmplete immersin (沉浸) in an activity. Sme have called flw the happiest mments f life. Thse wh’ve studied the relatinship between flw and eustress have called flw “the ultimate eustress experience”. It’s easier t enjy yur wrk when yu feel fulfilled (满足的) by it. And if yu want t feel fulfilled by it, well, it shuld stress yu ut a little.
Stress is painful, but eustress has the ptential t be exciting. Try t acknwledge it, name it and even champin it.

C.Hw eustress differs frm stress.D.The impact f eustress n health.
11.What rle des eustress play in achieving the flw state?
A.It facilitates entry int the flw state.
B.It shapes hw the flw state is achieved.
C.It determines when the flw state happens
D.It fllws the achievement f the flw state.
Superhighways f vessels (血管) beneath ur skin transprt bld and nutrients. These natural pathways branch ut like tree limbs t help ur bdy mve fd and xygen t ur rgans. Our bdies make vessels naturally, but biengineers als want t make them artificially. And nw a team f engineers has fund a cl new way t d that in the lab: They use ice.
T make the vessels, the engineers first needed a template (模板) frm which t build the tissue. “Originally, we were trying t d this with wax (蜡),” says Ozdganlar, a mechanical engineer wh’s leading the new vessel-building prject at Carnegie Melln University. But wax prved “t sft,” he says. “And it’s nt necessarily bicmpatible (生物兼容的),” r suitable fr use in the bdy. Then they thught f Elsa’s magic in a Disney mvie Frzen.
Ice seemed like a gd alternative t wax. It csts little and is readily available. And since it’s nt pisnus, the bdy wn’t reject it. And printing the ice template is simple. First, engineers prgram its shape int a 3-D printer. The printer then drps water nt a very cld surface. The printer repeats this prcess until the vessel’s shape is cmplete. In all, it takes less than 30 secnds. This icy vessel template is then encased in gelatin, a clear substance withut any taste. Shining ultravilet light n the gelatin hardens it as the ice melts away. What’s left are realistic-lking channels fr bld t mve thrugh.
S far, the Carnegie Melln team has tested the gel channels with endthelial cells. These are the cells that line the inner walls f bld vessels. In ne experiment, thse cells survived tw weeks lining the artificial vessels. This is prmising, but there is still a lng way t g befre such replacement vessels culd be transplanted int peple.
In the future, such artificial vessels culd be used as part f lab-made rgans t save the lives f peple urgently awaiting dnated rgans fr transplant. “This is really a game changer,” says Ozdganlar.
12.What inspired the team f engineers t use ice instead?
A.The mvie Frzen.B.Its lw cst.
C.The new prject.D.Its easy availability.
13.What des paragraph 3 mainly talk abut?
A.The differences between ice and wax.
B.The reasn fr printing the ice template.
C.The applicatin f 3-D printing technlgy.
D.The advantages f ice as vessel printing stuff.
14.What can we infer frm the last tw paragraphs?
A.The lab can mass prduce rgans fr use.
B.The technlgy is nt yet mature at this pint.
C.The artificial vessels will be put t use sn.
D.The rgan transplantatin is easier t perfrm.
15.What is the authr’s purpse in writing the text?
A.T sing high praise fr engineers’ wrk.
B.T make knwn a technical innvatin.
C.T prmte vessels made by using ice.
D.T encurage technlgical innvatin.
Will AI Replace Teachers?
The AI teacher is als knwn as the mechanical teacher. 16 It’s a cmputer r machine that can teach a student accrding t the level it’s prgrammed t teach.
While the thught f a reliable cmputer teaching yur child might seem prmising, an AI cannt adapt its teaching t its student during mid-lessn r read its student’s emtins, as a human teacher can. 17 It als cannt inspire its students as a human teacher can. The biggest benefit f the human teacher is that he r she gives students human cnnectins they need.
There are sme wh believe that teachers will be cmpletely replaced by rbts by the year 2027. Human teachers d carry with them sme disadvantages. Sme teachers can be f pr character. Others can have a cmprmising character r nt be as knwledgeable abut particular subjects as they shuld be. 18
If yu ask anyne the tp qualities f a gd teacher, an AI cannt meet these standards. They include friendly attitude, listening skills, respectful attitude, strng wrk ethic, patience, discipline skills, and s frth. AI cannt replace teachers. They cannt give a child what he r she needs. 19
20 It makes the human teacher’s jb easier and helps her t be mre efficient. This added efficiency allws him r her the time he r she needs t wrk mre ne-n-ne with students t prvide mre adaptability and understanding fr them. The tw things are what an AI teacher wuld struggle t prvide.
A.It is exactly what it sunds like.
B.Hwever, this des nt mean that AI is nt necessary.
C.Frankly speaking, students have their wn disadvantages, t.
D.Students lng fr the student-teacher bnd, cperatin, and lve.
