In 138 BC, at the reign f Emperr Wudi, Zhang Qian was sent t the west f China fr an alliance with the Yue-chi peple t fight against the Xingnu. But unfrtunately, Zhang was caught by the Xingnu peple just as he left Han, and was held prisner fr ten years.
