It was Octber 2005, and the catastrphic earthquake killing sme 79,000 peple in Pakistan had reduced the valley t mud and ruins.
Yasmeen Lari, a 65-year-ld architect, was there t help lead the recnstructin f settlements, but she had never dne disaster wrk befre. Lari was knwn fr designing smth twers f glass and cncrete.
