    By the end f the lessn, students shuld be able t:
    1. skim the article fr the main idea f each part;
    2. scan the article t get specific infrmatin;
    3. retell the changes in Sunshine Twn and the feelings;
    4. discuss the changes in ur city.

    Step 1 Lead-in
    Present sme pictures and get the students t knw sme new wrds and phrases.

    Step 2 Pre-reading
    1. Predictin
    T: My hmetwn Yangzhu has changed a lt ver the years. It has turned int a new mdern city. What abut Sunshine Twn? Lk at the title “Times have changed”. Wrk in pairs and predict (预测) the changes in Sunshine Twn.
    2. Grup wrk
    T: If yu are a reprter, what questins will yu ask abut the changes in Sunshine Twn?
    【设计意图:引导学生根据标题预测阳光镇的变化,同时设置语境,让学生融入课文角色,从记者的角度思考城市变化,引导学生关注对话文本特征。】
    Step 3 While-reading
    1. Skimming
    (1) Read and answer: Hw many questins des the interviewer ask? What are they?
    (2) Read the interview quickly and divide it int 4 parts. Let the students say the main idea f each part.
    【设计意图:通过运用略读的阅读策略,引导学生了解文章的主题,同时让学生找出采访的五个问题,了解采访型文章的结构形式,让学生划分段落并归纳段落大意,增强学生的整体篇章意识。】
    2. Scanning
    (1) Read lines 7-11 and cmpare what they had in the past and what they have tday.
    (2) Read lines 12-16 and try t fill in the blanks.
    (3) Read lines 17-23 and retell Mr Chen’s feeling t the changes in Sunshine Twn.
    【设计意图:通过运用寻读的阅读策略,指导学生获取具体信息,培养学生的扫读能力,复述第四部分,加深对本部分的理解。】
    3. Listening and reading
    (1) Read after the tape ludly.
    (2) Read in rles.
    (3) Finish task-based reading.
    【设计意图:跟录音朗读,模仿语音语调;分角色朗读,激发学生兴趣。帮助学生全面理解篇章,理解作者的意图,观点和态度。完成任务型阅读,检测学生对文章内容的掌握情况。】
    Step 4 Pst-reading
    1. Have an interview
    T: Wrk in pairs and discuss the changes in ur hmetwn. One is a reprter frm the TV Statin, and the ther is a lcal peple. Make up a new dialgue accrding t the chart. Try t ask at least five questins abut the tpic.

    (2) Give mre advice n hw t imprve ur city.
