Learning ability(学习能力):Can summarize grammar rules through examples.Be able to master the key words and expressions. Thinking ability(思维品质):Summarize the general rules through example sentences..Make informed judgments based on clues.Cultural awareness(文化意识):By listing and analyzing the basic sentence structures of the unit, summarize the basic usage of modal verbs, and help students understand the position of modal verbs in English sentences and their impact on other verbs. Understand the role of modal verbs in English sentences. Get students to fill in some blanks to review some words and expressions. Ask several students to show their answers and explain the reasons. Greeting Fill in the blanks. Review. 讲授新课Teaching the new lesson讲授新课Presentation Get students to read the sentences in Grammar Focus and circle interrogative pronouns, possessive cases of nouns, belong to, and modal verbs. Read and translate into Chinese. To show the concept of modal verb and get students to read and underline some key words. To show a table about modal verb and help students to fill in some rules and information. Read and make some notes. To teach the different sentence structures by using some simple sentences. To show three tenses of modal verbs for speculation by using some example sentences. 随堂练习(Exercise Get students to choose the best answers to check the result. Check the answer together. Get students to read the short dialogues in 4a to catch the meanings. To give several minutes for students to finish the tasks in groups.Discuss with partners if necessary. Get several groups to act out the short dialogues and check the answers together. Read them again. Get students to read the example in 2b and understand what they may want to do. Explain difficult words. Get students to write their answers on the textbook.Choose several students to show their answers on the blackboard.Choose several best answers and correct some mistakes together. Pair work(对话练习) Get students to look at the pictures on the textbook and try to answer some questions on the blackboard. Get students to make their own conversations with their partners by answering the questions. Choose several groups to act out their works in front of the class. 小结及复习(Summary & Emotion Read the sentence in Grammar Focus and list the key structures. Review and learn some rules about modal verbs in different sentences structures and tense.        Finish some exercise and practice function structure.                 Make conversation and explain the reasons.      Read and review. To teach the rules and summarize model verbs.            Practice and finish some exercise.                   Analyze the problem and practice oral English.      Summary.课堂小结本节语法课详细总结了情态动词的基本用法,帮助学生总结了单元基本句式和功能短语。同时利用句式训练对单元知识点进行整合。通过讨论可能性来帮助学生训练口语。板书设计Unit 8 It must belong to Carla.    课后作业Review and exercise.课后反思 Advantages(亮点):本课利用了较多的例句和分类方式,详细地讲解了情态动词表推测的原则和基本句式,内容完整,形成知识块。2.Disadvantages(不足):教材配套的练习题较少,且训练形式比较单一,而对话练习相对比较开放,讨论范畴不容易界定。3.Teaching Advice(教学建议):教师应提前限制讨论范畴,让学生从规定的方向进行讨论,同时应增加练习,提高学生的应试能力。
