Greetings:T: Good morning, class.Ss: Good morning, teacher.T: Nice to meet you, again.Ss: Nice to meet you, too.2. Revision: Have a dictation of the words learnt in the Starter Units.Step 2. Presentation: (work on 1a——1c)1. Activity 1a.T: Now, today we’ll learn how to introduce ourselves. First, open your book. Look at the picture in 1a and write English words for the things in the picture.Divide the class into groups of four. Ask them to look at the picture in 1a for about two or three minutes, and then list the words as many as possible and share with group members.Later ask one of the winner “What’s your name?” let the winners introduce themselves using “I’m ….” or “My name is ….” Then the teacher puts on a lovely mask and says, “Oh, I’m …. Nice to meet you, too.”Write the target language on the blackboard and have students repeat.Then ask students to read the conversation in the picture together. Explain some language points.2. Activity 1b.Ask students to look at 1b and read the conversations.Play the recording for the first time. Students only listen. Ask them to pay attention to the pronunciation and intonations.Finally, check the answers and ask some pairs to read the conversations.3. Activity 1c.Read the conversations in 1b, substituting the names of students in the class. Have students repeat.Ask students to practice the conversations in 1b with partners. Tell them to use their own names.Finally, invite some pairs to act out their conversations for the whole class.Step 3. Practice: (Work on 2a——2c)1. Activity 2a.T: First you need to look at the pictures carefully so that you can know what people are doing in these pictures.I’ll play the tape for you to listen.The first time, you must listen carefully and get the main idea. The second time, number the pictures.Finally, check the answers.2. Activity 2b.T: There are some names in the four conversations we’ve just heard.
